**Accreditation of all MIT and PGDIT courses is provisional and in principle and requires a visit to the MQ City campus initially, and then at the time of the first graduations from each program. The structure and rules of these programs are specified below. The minimum requirement for ACS accreditation is specified. All double degrees (with the BIT) are accredited on the basis of the BIT. At the UG level units are typically 3cp, at the PG level, units are typically 4cp.
Bachelor of Computer Science
The basis of the accreditation is:
72 credit points with required units as shown. Required Units
And satisfying all other requirements for completion of the program. Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts
The basis of the accreditation is:
96 credit points with required units as shown. Note:
The degree program specifies requirements at 300-level. Students must then select units at 100-level and 200-level that satisfy the prerequisites for their desired units of study at 300-level. In practice, students are advised to take a breadth of study at 100-level in order to ensure choice at later stages in their degree. Typical selections include COMP115, ISYS114, COMP125, MATH135 at 100-level; COMP225 or COMP229, ISYS224, ISYS227 at 200-level and other units depending upon interest; and a related set of units at 300-level. The current prerequisite structure ensures that, to meet the minimal requirements for a coherent program of study in Computing at 300-level, students must complete COMP115 at 100-level and one of COMP125 or ISYS114.
