8:00am Pick up six 15 passenger vans from DPS.
9:00am Advance vans and boats leave for Athens, oh
after last exam Remaining members leave for ovrc with coach Lisa
3:00pm arrive at racecourse to rig and for pre-race practice.

6:00pm Drive to Housing/ Dinner on own

Directions from Athens East on US 50 to Pksburg Toll Bridge. Pay toll and malke 1st right. At first light turn right go over RRx tracks and turn right. Go under bridge and boathouse is on left.

Directions to Race Course

Strouds Run State Park, Athens, Ohio

From Columbus:

 

33-East toward Athens. Take the Rt. 13 Rt. 550 Chauncey Amesville exit. Veer right off the exit and right at light onto Columbus Road. Follow road approx. 2 miles to top of hill. It is the first light. Turn left onto North Lancaster. Athens Quick Lube is on left. The turn will be sharp. You will go a tenth of a mile and the road will fork. Follow road to right onto Columbia Ave. Go through first two stop signs. At third stop sign, veer right and follow till dead ends at overpass. At dead end, turn right (will see signs to Strouds Run) onto County Road 20. Follow County Road 20 into park (approx. 3 miles). In park follow signs to beach and trailer parking.


From Marietta/Parkersburg:

Go over the toll bridge to Rt. 50W in Belpre (10 miles).

50-West toward Athens. As approach Athens see sign for 33-West Columbus State Street. Veer right onto 33-West. Pass State Street exit and get off at next exit, Rt. 13 Rt. 550 Chauncey Amesville exit (1st exit past State St. exit). Veer right off the exit and left at light onto Columbus Road. The police close Kelly Drive. Follow the signs for remote parking, (fee required). From the remote parking lots look for the shuttle bus to the racecourse. Buses run throughout the day.



Handicapped Parking
Parking is difficult on Kelly Drive and there are no reserved parking spaces
for Handicapped motorists. However, vehicles with license plates indicating
that the driver is handicapped or carrying a state Handicapped tag hanging
from the rear view morror, may pass through police barricades by showing
these credentials. Once on the drive, however, it's first come-first
served.

From Center City
Get on the Ben Franklin Parkway and head toward the Philadelphia Art Museum in the distance. As you approach the Museum-on your left side-is a traffic light. Bear right and look for Kelly Drive signs. Kelly Drives runs along the north side of the Museum. On your right will be another traffic light and a gold equestrian statue of St. Joan of Arc. Moving onward you will see on the right another traffic light and a tall statue of a seated President Lincoln. Ahead on your left is a series of Victorian Architecture structures (Philadelphia’s famed Boat House Row). Go past these for about two miles when a white Police barricade will appear. Bear right past the equestrian statue of President Grant and seek parking signs toward remote parking. Park and wait for a shuttle bus to the regatta.

From the Northeast (New York & Trenton)
I 95 South to I 676 West to I 76 West. Exit at Exit 340A (Kelly Drive/Lincoln Drive/Wissahicken Drive). Follow Kelly Drive to police barricades and remote parking.

From the Northwest (Harrisburg and the West)
Pennsylvania Turnpike to I 76 East to Route 1 and Exit 340A (Kelly Drive/LincolnDrive/Wissahicken Drive). Follow Kelly Drive to police barricades and remote parking.

From the South (Philadelphia International Airport, Wilmington and Washington)
I 95 North to I 76 West to Exit 340A (Kelly Drive/Lincoln Drive/Wissahicken Drive). Follow Kelly Drive to police barricades and remote parking.

From South Jersey (Camden, Atlantic City and Shore Points)
Route 42 to the North-South freeway to I 676 West to I 76 North to Exit 340A (Kelly Drive/Wissahicken Drive/Lincoln Drive). Follow Kelly Drive to police barricades and remote parking.

From the Southwest (West Chester, King of Prussia and Paoli)
Route 202 to I 76 East to 340 A (A Left Lane Exit) (Kelly Drive, Wissahicken Drive and Lincoln Drive) Follow Kelly Drive to police barricades and remote parking).
