b. Due to security and support risks, the use of Windows XP for computer based testing is strongly discouraged. Districts and schools are advised that the decision to use computers running Windows XP constitutes an agreement to assume risks of decreased software performance and increased security risks associated with use of an obsolete operating system.

c. To determine if your operating system is 32 or 64 bit, please visit: http://www.akaipro.com/kb/article/1616

d. Older operation systems from 7.2 – 8.3 will function, however features like ASAM and suppression of dictionary & speak selection will not fully work. It is also recommended to NOT upgrade to 9.3 when it becomes available.

e. As of 1/15/16 functionality testing of the client is underway for stable channels 47. Full functionality has been confirmed for stable channel 45. When possible, districts should lock in at Chrome OS 45. Text-to-speech will not function properly on Chromebook devices running Chrome OS 41 and below. Chrome operating systems newer than channel 45 may not work properly with the MEA Client.
