Media. Media is the plural of medium (it retains a Latin plural form) in the sense of devices or modes The news media are out in force Singular uses of media are becoming more common, but they are wrong informal writing. Medium in the sense of one who mediates between realms, especially psychic worlds, has the plural
“mediums”: The mediums all agreed that a great flood would come in five years.”
