Plenary Sessions and Workshops
No texting!
Sleeping, phone infractions, gum chewing, eating, talking, or any other disruptive behavior will result in chapter fines to be determined by the Teen Advisory Board and collected by the Sergeant-at-Arms.
Conference participants are expected to be punctual for all meetings and adhere to conference decorum.
Music (iPods; cd players, etc., should not be played during plenary sessions, workshops, meals, in hallways or lobbies).
Curfew
Curfew means IN your room, not on the way to your room.
Curfew is 1:00 AM for the Teen Conference unless otherwise indicated by the Regional Director.
Depart Teen Dance, pick up snack and proceed directly to room
Post Curfew parties are not allowed.
POPS will be patrolling the halls after curfew – reporting issues/concerns to Teen Chaperones.
Teens are not allowed to order room service nor incur any additional hotel costs without the pre-approval of the Lead Teen Sponsor/Chaperone and appropriate proof of responsibility.
Off-Site and On-Site Visitation
All Teens and Lead Teen Sponsors/Chaperones are required to stay at the host hotel during the conference.
Conference participants are not allowed to leave the site of the conference or any off-site conference activities.
Persons, who are not members of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., cannot visit any teen room, nor are they allowed to attend any conference activity – except via the pre-purchase of special event tickets.
Teens are prohibited from driving during the conference. Automobiles for teens will not be allowed at the hotel or used during the conference.
Teens violating any of these policies will be asked to leave the dance with Lead Sponsor/Chaperone.
POPS/Lead Sponsor/Chaperones are responsible for enforcing the above policies.
POPS/Lead Sponsor/Chaperones should immediately remove a teen violating any of the above policies from the dance floor and the teen must sit out the remainder of the dance under the supervision of a Teen Chaperone.
Regional/National officers are also authorized remove a teen violating any of the above policies from the teen dance, and shall notify the Lead Teen Sponsor of said removal.
General Conduct
Chapter(s) will be assessed for all costs incurred for damages to hotel property.
Music (iPods, CD players, etc.) should not be played in plenary sessions, during meals, hallways, and lobbies or played loud in hotel rooms.
Littering or throwing objects from the hotel balcony or any railing is strictly prohibited.
Loitering or gathering in the hotel lobby is prohibited.
There will be no hitting, spitting, pinching, slapping, fighting, or any other physical activity that can or will cause damage or injure an individual.
Furniture shall not be moved from the area designated by the hotel, nor onto any patio, balcony, or other guest room.
Use of Illegal Substances
Alcoholic beverages, marijuana, illegal stimulants, or any other illegal drugs and/or controlled substances for which the teen does not have a prescription or has not provided the required medical and prescription information on the liability release document, are expressly prohibited.
Any teen found using, in possession of, or participating or any individual who is using drugs or alcohol will be sent home immediately at the parent's expense.

Southeastern Region Teen Code of Conduct
Sexual activity, possession or use of a dangerous weapon, liquor or illegal drugs will not be tolerated at the Teen Conference. The penalty for an infraction of this rule shall be immediate expulsion from the Conference and possible exclusion from the next year’s Conference.
Curfew violations which result from being off-site of the Conference site will result in immediate expulsion from the Conference.
Teens may not drive cars during the Conference.
Trips away from the Conference site must be authorized and/or chaperoned. Teens must travel in groups of two or more at all times.
Teens are required to wear Conference ID badges and wristbands at all times. A fee (recommended by the Rules and Regulations Committee and approved at the first plenary session) will be charged to replace lost badges/wristbands.
Teens are expected to remain inside the designated location during social events.
Teens are expected to wear business attire to all designated Plenary Sessions. Casual attire may be worn to social, recreational, and entertainment events as outlined in Conference dress code.
Doors must be propped open at all times when members of the opposite sex are visiting. No room visitation by members of the opposite sex is permitted between 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. or during scheduled activities.
Boom boxes and other loud audio equipment are not permitted for personal use by Teens at the Conference site. Equipment needed for the Talent show must be managed by Teen Sponsors and chaperones.
Teens must treat all adults with respect and courtesy, especially including parents from other chapters, hotel employees and other hotel guests. Instances of repeated displays of discourtesy, disrespect, or conduct unbecoming the image of the organization may result in disciplinary action. This rule includes, but is not limited to use of language, dance floor behavior, behavior in restaurants and shops.
Participation in Teen Conference is restricted to members of the Southeastern Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. except under special circumstances as determined by the Regional Director or her designee.
The Regional Director shall determine which rule infractions are referred to the Regional Judiciary Board based upon the seriousness of the infraction.
The Regional Director and/or Lead Teen Sponsor of the chapter will notify parents of any disciplinary action taken as a result of a Teen’s violation of rules.
Appeals of decisions reached by the Regional Judiciary Board shall follow the Grievance/Appeal Process adopted by the National Executive Board and the Regional Judiciary Board.
Teens are expected to attend all plenary sessions and workshops.
A mandatory curfew of 1:00 a.m. is in effect for all Teens, including College Teens. Post-curfew parties are prohibited.
Participation in any hazing or initiation activities is prohibited.
