Account Executive Job Description

Alliant Event Services is a nationwide audio, visual, lighting, computer rental and staging services company. We seek a self-motivated, energetic, and experienced account executive for our office in Pomona, CA. The position is responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts for the Southern California region.

• 
  Promoting excellent customer service in every action taken and every word spoken
  
• 
  Researching, generating, and developing leads
  
• 
  Soliciting business by referrals, site meetings, leads lists, and/or “cold” calling
  
• 
  Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate business clients, association events, meeting/event planners, production companies, and meeting facilities 
  
• 
  Approaching customer needs with a solution based support objective, making recommendations to exceed the expectation of those customers
  
• 
  Meeting with clients on site surveys
  
• 
  Preparing proposals based on client’s requirements, and advising the company of new and creative strategies that would benefit both the company and it’s clients
  
• 
  Working with the production and technical staff in the pre-planning and on-site execution of events
  
• 
  Monitoring & reporting artistic industry developments
  
• 
  Using systems in place to report activities with clients
  
• 
  Setting timelines and developing action plans to meet and exceed goals
  
• 
  Attending industry association meeting
  
• 
  Actively seeking the latest in presentation technology and developing creative methods on incorporating the technology to our client’s events.
  

Job Requirements

• 
  Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the audio visual rental and staging industry
  
• 
  High sense of urgency and ability to work within deadlines
  
• 
  Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  
• 
  Must be well organized, strongly self-disciplined, multi-task oriented, and characterize outstanding leadership skills
  

• 
  Must have a basic understanding of audio, visual, lighting and computer equipment
  

• 
  Consistent and verifiable record of creativity by either designing, selling, and producing profitable audio visual events
  
• 
  Hospitality event industry and/or AV Staging background desirable
  
• 
  Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and clienteles.
  
• 
  Proficiency in Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and other intermediate computer platforms
