Below (Figure 19) is an overview of the top 500+ airlines that route data was available for the purposes of this survey. As could already be surmised from previous assumptions, Europe and North America have the majority of air traffic.

The following route chart (Figure 20) shows airlines that have aircraft equipped with VHF ACARS and are AMDAR friendly aircraft types.

Figure 21 shows the routes of the airlines that operate from the target regions of interest. Shown are the routes flown by 128 Airlines consisting of 2514 ACARS aircraft of the make and type of interest to AMDAR.
Considering only the best candidates in each region, this represents a potential of 68 Airlines globally to assist the AMDAR program in these data sparse regions.
The appendix of this document contains the details of key airlines in the various data sparse regions which are summarized below.
