Microsoft has established on office in Montenegro and it is selling its products through local hardware/software providers. There are 3-5 companies which realize significant majority of sales of hardware/software, but there is also significant number of small companies in this field.
Concerning internet services telecommunication operators dominate the market. Generally, they have divided the market, with no significant changes in their market penetration which provides them a very good position to impose prices which are rather high.
E-Commerce is not developed in the country, and there is a small number of services in this field.

Montenegro's IT market contracted by 14.8% year on year in 2010 to $40.38 million. Measured in local currency, the market shrank by 10.6% compared with the previous year, due to the appreciation of the U.S. dollar6.
