ATLANTA PRIME


The Prime come to National Bowl Weekend as Champions of the 2007 Eastern Football Alliance Tournament after capturing the 2007 Southeast American Football League title. With an overall record of 18-2, the Prime are looking to add the National Football Events National Championship to their title collection.

BROOKLYN MARINERS


In their 50 years in semi-pro football, the perennial national powerhouse Mariners, again captured the Garden State Football League championship in 2007 and went on to become the 2007 USFA Harvest Bowl Tournament champions as well. Under legendary coach Pudgie Walsh, Brooklyn’s overall 2007 record stands at 14-1 as they look to return to Florida for another bowl victory.

FORT PIERCE FIRE


For the third year in a row, the Fire and Fort Pierce are hosting the National Bowl Weekend. 2007 Division champs of the Southern States Football League, the Fire recorded a record of 7-6.

2008 will mark the 4th season for the Fire as they kick off their regular season the week after Bowl Weekend.



GEORGIA XTREME


The Xtreme had a successful 2007 season in the United States Football League and were Semifinalists in 2007 Eastern Football Alliance Tournament, finishing up with an overall record of 8-3.

LOWELL NOR’EASTER


The Nor’easter are in their 10th season, playing in the New England Football League. In 2007 Lowell was the NEFL runner-up and got to the semi-finals of the USFA Harvest Bowl Tournament, finishing with an overall record of 12-3. The Nor’easter have captured 6 NEFL championships.

MONROE COUNTY STING


The Rochester, NY based Sting, 2007 New York Amateur Football League champions were semifinalists in 2007 USFA Harvest Bowl Tournament. Monroe County comes to National Bowl Weekend with an overall record of 13-4 and looking to capture the National Football Events national title.

OCALA PEPPERS


Taking the “Peppers” nickname from NFL QB Duante Culpepper (an associate owner), the team will play 2008 in the Florida State Football League after playing in the Southeast Football League in 2007. The Peppers won the 2007 Palm Bowl by a score of 34 to 6 at National Bowl Weekend last year.

ORLANDO RAGE


With an impressive 12-2 record in the 2007 season, the Rage were unable to get by the St. Petersburg Sharks in the conference finals of the Southern States Football League after defeating them twice in the regular season on last minute field goals. This 5th year SSFL team has won 4 conference championships and are always contending for the title.

PRINCE WILLIAM MONARCHS


The only undefeated team playing in this weekend’s bowl games are the Monarchs, with a perfect record of

19-0. They are the 2007 Regional Atlantic Football League champions and followed that up by beating all challengers to take the 2007 USFA Metro Bowl title.



ST. PETERSBURG SHARKS


Always a powerhouse, the charter members of the Southern States Football League in their 8th season, the Sharks were 2007 SSFL runner-up, losing an overtime heartbreaker in the league title game. They went 10-2 and were division and conference champs along the way. The Sharks are 4 time SSFL champs and won conference and division titles 5 times each.
