Go to Start Menu Control Panel Select “Sound and Audio Devices,” or the equivalent wording on your system. Select the “Audio” tab and from there select the playback method (speakers or headset). Select the “Sound Recording” drop-down box of the same tab and select the sound input you are using (USB headset or microphone). Select the “Volume,” button and check that the volume is not muted. You may be given the option to choose the volume level of the input device depending upon your system. If so, select the input by clicking on the “Select” box, then adjust the volume level to your liking.
