3The Problem and Background In the real-world production and warehousing problem, the company aims to reorganize their warehouse and determine if they have enough space to store each product to meet customer demand, while keeping up with current company operations and allowing for future growth. Figure 1 depicts the flow of items from the production area to the output/loading point of the facility. The areas of interest associated with each section of the process have been highlighted in Figure 1.
