THE PICCADILLY PLAYERS
There were two groups of this name in the late 1920s. One was directed by Mel Morris (recording for Edison in New York), and the other a studio band directed by Al Starita for Columbia in London. The former features an excellent but unidentified trumpet on several sides; the latter sometimes offers solos by star musicians, as follows.
