BSNL MOBILE SERVICE PLUS
Cellone provides a number of Value Added Services like Call Forwarding, Call Waiting & Call Holding, and Voice Mail Service etc. These services helps BSNL serve you better & enhance the ease & quality of communication thus bringing global connectivity at your doorstep.
Call Forwarding Facility:

In case you are in a meeting or your mobile is switched off, using the Call Forwarding feature, you can forward your calls on a fixed line or a mobile where someone can see messages on your behalf. You can also forward an incoming call while speaking to someone. You can activate Call Forwarding by using the menu function of your mobile. Use the menu function to scroll to Call Forwarding and activate for the options of All Calls, If Busy, If No Reply, If not reachable/switched off.

All forwarded calls are billed the same way the regular call is billed. Call forwarding from BSNL’s cellular mobile numbers is allowed to fixed, WLL or Cellular Mobile phone number of BSNL as well as of any other operator within same LSA.

Voice Mail Service:

Though you may miss a call, you will never miss what the caller has to say with cellone Voicemail. It’s truly mobile voice mail. CellOne Voice Mail Service ensures that the customers never miss their calls even when their phone is busy, switched off, out of coverage, or the customer is simply too busy to take the call. In such cases, cellone VMS greets the caller and records a message from the caller, which the customer can retrieve later at his convenience from anywhere in the world. This is available to all our post-paid customers. It’s like having your very own, mobile personal secretary and answering machine who listens to your incoming calls, greets the caller and stores the messages left by the caller so that you can listen and call them back later.



  1. GETTING STARTED

In the beginning, when you want to start using your Voice Mail Service, you have to first registered for Voice Mail Service by applying at BSNL Customer Service Center and then after registration activate your personal Voice Mail box by defining the conditions for diverting the calls, go from MENU to the CALL DIVERT feature. You need to refer to your handset manual as the process differs from the handset to handset. Your handset will show you the four different conditions under which you can divert your calls. You can choose any one of them.

  • PHONE BUSY (Whenever you receive a call on your mobile phone while attending another call, it will get diverted to your VMS).

  • NO REPLY (If you can’t or don’t want to answer a call, it is automatically forwarded to your VMS after few seconds)

  • NOT REACHABLE (If you are not in the BSNL coverage area or if your handset is switched off, your call is diverted to your VMS).

  • UNCONDITIONAL (In case you don’t wish to be disturbed, you can direct all your calls to your VMS)

After selecting your option, you will be asked to enter a number. Press 91 94xxxABCDE (where 94xxxABCDE is your 10 digit mobile number). Once your chosen option is set, the calls will be diverted to your mailbox.

  1. HOW TO RECORD YOUR GREETINGS?

  • Dial 17000

  • To leave the message the system will ask to enter the required mobile no. and after the verification that the required no. is registered for voice mail service the system will ask to record the message and after that follow the instructions.

  • To record your greetings system will ask to enter your mobile no. followed be # key, thereafter system will ask to enter the password followed be # key. Now record your greeting message and follow the instructions from the system. access your Voice Mail the system will ask you to enter your password (the default password is 1234 but it is recommended that you set your own secret password which can be set at the time of first use of VMS). Follow the prompts and start listening. To access your voice mail from a landline phone, dial 9426017000.

  1. HOW TO ACCESS YOUR VOICE MAIL?

As soon as you receive a voice mail, you will be alerted by an SMS on your cell phone. To access your Voice Mail from your own BSNL Cellular phone, dial 17000. The system will ask you to enter your password (the default password is 1234 but it is recommended that you set your own secret password). Follow the prompts and start listening. To access your voice mail from a landline phone, dial 9426017000.

  1. IMPORTANT TIPS

  • Always keep a confidential password to ensure no one else can access your mailbox.

  • Always record a personal greeting and modify it to suit your requirements. For example, if you are going out of town, leave this information as an outgoing message in your mailbox.

  • Delete messages after listening to them, unless you want to retain them.

  • Encourage people to leave a message in your mailbox by being prompt in returning their calls.


Call Waiting & Call Holding Facility:
This feature enables you to speak to two callers, one at a time, without hanging up on either one of them. When this network service is activated, the network notifies you of a new incoming call while you have a call in progress. If another person tries calling you midway through a conversation, he/she will hear a message informing him/her that your line is busy, while you will hear beeps at intervals. You can accept the second call while putting the first call on hold.

Note: Since this facility involves two conversations, you will be charged airtime rate for two calls. (The time you are actually talking and the time spent on ‘hold’)
Missed Call Alert Facility:
Missed called alert is now available on BSNL mobiles (Prepaid/Postpaid). Get missed calls alert even if your mobile is switched off or out of coverage area. To activate this facility just divert calls to 17010 by using handset setting menu. Missed calls are displayed whenever handset is switched on or you re-enter coverage area. This is a FREE service and available for both postpaid and prepaid BSNL mobiles.

UNIFIED MESSAGING SERVICE ON MOBILE
The UMS (UNIFIED MESSAGING SERVICE) system can be categorized as per the below mentioned functionality:

Voice Mail Service (VMS) FAX Message E-Mail E-Mail to Speech (ETS)




            1. Voice-Mail: Using this feature, the voice messages can be sent/received to/by other subscribers having this facility. The incoming voice message from the mailbox can be accessed as per following procedure:

(i) Subscriber will define conditional divert in his handset to voice-mailbox number 17000.

(ii) Whenever a voicemail is received in voice-mailbox, the subscriber will receive an SMS on his/her cell phone.



(iii) To retrieve messages from the voice-mailbox, dial 17000 from your mobile phone and may press '*' to skip the introduction part and follow the voice menus thereafter.

The voice mailbox can be accessed on landline also as per below mentioned procedure:

  1. In order to retrieve messages from your voice-mailbox by using landline phone, dial 9426017000 (which is the common access no.) followed by '#', then your own mobile no. and again '#'. The system will prompt you for your password which is 1234 by default. Enter your password and follow the voice menus thereafter.




            1. FAX Message: This feature will enable the subscriber to sent/receive fax message. The fax can be sent/received to/by the subscriber either through BSNL UMN account or using fax machine. The below mentioned procedure is to be adopted while sending or receiving the fax message on fax machine:

    1. In order to deposit a FAX message, dial 9426017000 from a FAX machine followed by a '#' and the mobile no. of the person who is the intended recipient of the FAX. A part of the voice menu says "to add a FAX, press 3". Press 3 on your FAX machine and after the system prompts you to, press "START" on your FAX machine.

    2. In order to retrieve a FAX message from your voice-mailbox, dial 9426017000 from a FAX machine. Then press '#' followed by your own mobile no. and '#'. The system prompts you for your password, which is 1234 by default. On entering the password, the system tells you that you have so many new messages out of which so many are Voice/FAX/E-Mail messages. When you play a FAX message, first, system will announce the sender’s phone number and the time when the sender had deposited that Fax Message. Then the system will announce many option like to backup, to keep or to delete etc, You simply bypass these request by pressing '#', then the system prompts you to press " START " on your FAX machine.




            1. E-mail: This feature will enable the subscriber to send/receive E-mail messages. The subscriber has to get BSNL UMN account for this feature. The below mentioned procedure is to be adopted for sending/receiving the email.

    1. Dial 1403 from WAP Mobile to connect to internet-login to the relevant site. Based on your location go to appropriate website i.e. in north www.bsnlumn.com, south www.bsnlums.com, east www.bsnlume.com and in west www.bsnlumw.com.

    2. Logon to your BSNL UMN/S/E/W E-mail Account (using your mobile no. as the user login and 1234 as the password which is a default password).

    3. To receive e-mail from WAP cell phone, go to inbox then to email and then “view details” and choose “body”.

    4. To send email from your UMN/S/E/W account, use the E-mail options as provided under the Compose Menu.




            1. E-mail to speech (ETS): This feature will enable the subscriber to listen the Email on the mobile phone .In order to listen E-mail messages from your voice mailbox, dial the No. 17000 from your mobile phone and press * to skip the introduction part. The system prompt will say ' To listen E-mail message, Press Option '4', thereafter, follow the voice menus. The attachments along with Email cannot be listened from your voice mailbox.

PROCEDURE FOR GPRS/MMS ACTIVATION, HANDSET SETTINGS &

ACCESS ON PC/LAPTOP

A. Procedure For GPRS/MMS Activation:

For Postpaid customer:
1. One of the following procedures can be used for GPRS/MMS activation.

(i) Apply at BSNL Customer Service Center for GPRS Plan 49 or Plan 199.

(ii) Send SMS “GPRS49” for Plan-49 or “GPRS199” for Plan-199 at 53733.

(iii) Contact helpline 9426024365

After applying you will receive SMS on your mobile phone regarding activation of GPRS/MMS.

For Prepaid Customer:
1. One of the following procedures can be used for GPRS/MMS activation.

(i) Apply at BSNL Customer Service Center for GPRS/MMS activation.

(ii) Send SMS “GPRSPRE” at 53733.

(iii) Contact helpline 9426024365

After applying you will receive SMS on your mobile phone regarding activation of GPRS/MMS.

Procedure For GPRS/MMS De-activation:
1. One of the following procedures can be used for GPRS/MMS de-activation.

(i) Apply at BSNL Customer Service Center for deactivation of GPRS/MMS facility

(ii) Send SMS “GPRSD” for both prepaid & postpaid at 53733.

(iii) Contact helpline 9426024365


B. Procedure For Handset Settings:
1. Go to website www.cellone.in

2. Click on link “Click here to download GPRS/MMS Settings”

3. Click on link “Gujarat” existing below the West Zone in order to download device settings.

4. Enter your mobile no. 91942XXXXXXX and then click on “Login”.

5. Note the generated password and then click on “Login”.

6. Now click on “Device Management”.

7. Select your phone vendor & phone model from the list.

8. Click on “Configure My Phone”.

9. Now you will receive the SMS on your mobile phone for GPRS, MMS & WAP settings.

10. Press for ‘OK’ on mobile handset and then enter password already obtained.

11. Again click ‘OK’ and now save the SMS.

12. Now your handset is configured for GPRS/MMS settings.


C. Procedure To Access GPRS On PC/Laptop Via Cable/Infrared/Bluetooth:
1. First activate Infrared or Bluetooth in your mobile phone.

2. PC Settings for making Dial-Up Connection:

(i) For Windows XP: Follow the path as given.

4. After all this above procedure check in StartSettingsControl panelPhone & Modem OptionsModems TAB(select the modem which you configured above) and select PropertiesDiagnostics TABQuery Modem.

If this clicking does not give any new window, then your modem will work properly.

Follow step 4 only if step 3 doesn’t work otherwise follow in order the procedures 234
BIDDING PROCEDURE FOR AUCTION OF VANITY/CHOICE MOBILE NUMBERS
1. The bidding shall commence at 10:00 Hrs of the starting date and shall continue till 10:00 Hrs of the ending date.

2. Only cellular (both post-paid & pre-paid) subscribers of BSNL, Gujarat Telecom Circle can participate in the auction. A non-BSNL cellular subscriber then can bid through friend’s/relative’s BSNL cellular number of Gujarat Telecom Circle. However in such cases the liability to pay the amount, if declared highest, shall remain with the BSNL cellular subscriber.

3. Existing Post-paid customer can also bid for change of his/her existing number.

4. Subscribers can check for their choice vanity/VIP number on Gujarat circle website (www.gujarat.bsnl.co.in).

5. It is mandatory that all serious bidders should first get registered for being eligible for bidding. For registration, intending bidder shall send SMS REGVAN10 DIGIT Mobile Number (for which he/she wants to bid) to 56666. For example if a customer is getting registered for vanity mobile number 9429055555, then the SMS shall be as

6. Rs 1.50 shall be charged for this SMS. Besides another Rs 50.00 towards registration shall be deducted from the talk-value balance (for Pre-paid bidder). For Postpaid bidder, amount of Rs 1.50 and Rs 50.00 shall be sent to billing system for adding to bidders debit.

7. After successful registration, subscriber shall be informed that “You are now successfully registered to bid for mobile number 94xxxxxxxx”.

8. Step 3, 4 & 5 above shall be repeated for each number for which a subscriber wants to bid. (e.g. if a subscriber wants to bid for 9429000000 & 9429100000 then he should get registered for both these numbers separately and for both these registrations, he shall be charged Rs 1.50+Rs 50.00 separately)

9. To bid for a number, send following SMS to ‘56666’; CHOICE10 DIGIT MOBILE NUMBERAMOUNT. For example if a customer is bidding Rs 15,000.00 for mobile number 9429055555 then his/her SMS shall be as; CHOICE 9429055555 15000

10. The customer shall receive a back SMS intimating about the highest bid already received for this number. If your bid is highest then it shall be confirmed in the back SMS.

11. During the process of bidding, as and when any bidder exceeds your bid, which was intimated as the highest, then an intimation shall be given to you through SMS.

12. To know the highest bid already available for a choice number, following SMS is to be sent to ‘56666’; CHOICEMOBILE NUMBER. For Example to know the highest bid already available for the choice number 9429055555 send following SMS to ‘56666’; CHOICE 9429055555

For this no registration is required. This SMS will be charged @ Rs.1.50.

13. Similarly bidder can also check inclusion of number of his/her choice in vanity number auction list through SMS. For this he shall have to send SMS “LAST(LAST 1, 2, OR UPTO 5 DIGITS OF NUMBER) to 56666 to know all the numbers with those last digits are included in the auction. No registration is required for this.

14. Bid below the minimum reserve price, shall not be accepted.

15. Each SMS, sent to 56666, shall be charged @ Rs1.50 per SMS.

16. Bid shall be acceptable in multiples of Rs. 100.00 only. For example, if the current bid for a choice number is Rs 1500.00, then the next bid can be any amount above Rs 1500.00 in multiple of 100 i.e. Rs 1600.00, Rs 1700.00 etc.

17. During bid, a bidder can increase previous bid by maximum of Rs. 10000.00. Moreover, an existing highest bidder cannot exceed his/her own bid by any amount unless somebody else exceeds his/her bid amount. First initial bid for any number cannot be accepted beyond Rs. 25,000.

18. At the end of auction, top three (H-1, H-2 & H-3) bidders shall be informed by BSNL about their status and request them to provide Name, Address and details of the ID (to ensure that number is allotted to the correct customer only). These details shall be used to allot the vanity nos. to the selected bidder. Therefore, it is very necessary that bidders are always available on the mobile phone.

19. In case the highest bidder(s), when contacted to deposit the bid amount refuses, his/her BSNL Mobile number shall be barred for next round of auction (only one auction). However if the same subscriber has been offered multiple Vanity/VIP numbers and he/she ultimately purchases at least three numbers, then his/her number shall not be barred.

20. If the highest (H-1) bidder fails to deposit the bid amount with AO (Mobile) of concerned SSA within 5 working days of intimation, then the number shall be offered to second highest (H-2) bidder at his/her second highest bid price.

21. If the second highest (H-2) bidder also fails to deposit the bid amount with AO (Mobile) of concerned SSA within 5 working days of intimation, then the number shall be offered to third highest (H-3) bidder at his/her third highest bid price.

22. Bid amount includes all taxes.

23. Selected bidder can have his/her choice number under any existing cellular plan, Post-paid or Pre-paid, of BSNL. However the normal SIM/Activation Charges, Security (in case of Post-paid plan) etc shall be charged extra on actual basis.

24. No extra charges are payable in case of the selected number is to be changed for a post-paid connection.

25. Amount paid for the vanity/VIP number is non-refundable and it is also clarified that the entire bid amount shall have to be paid in single instalment before obtaining the vanity/VIP number.

26. Registration fee of Rs. 50/- will be adjusted in respect of successful bidder at the time of depositing the bid amount.



27. A bidder can also withdraw or cancel his/her bid during the bidding period by making a request to Call Center at 9400024365 and not by sending SMS. However registration fee of Rs. 50/- will not be refunded to the bidder.

28. BSNL Gujarat Circle reserves the right to cancel allocation of any vanity/VIP number at any time without assigning any reason.
