Maybe you need a drink or two to calm down.
TAMMY RED
That’s what the Junkie over here does.
JEFFREY ORANGE
Bro, you got one more time to call me Junkie.
TAMMY RED
What you going to do junkie, huh junkie, junkie I’m talking to you.
JEFFREY ORANGE
Junkie, that’s my new name, huh. Everybody on campus calls me that name. You don’t know what I have been through. Or why do I smoke and drink it away. You look down at me and think I’m just trash. I struggle to get here. Foster care from left to right. I don’t have a mother to nurture me. Didn’t have a father to play catch with. I found smoking at an early age. My mother never wanted me from the start. She heard about and overdose. My so-called father has been in jail since I was two. Finally, he saw me, do you know this negro disown me. A parent disowns his own child, do you know how that really feels? No, you don’t. I turn to the things that ease my pain. I am running away from this pain because I don’t want to feel it. This void of feeling left alone by myself isn’t easy. I did not see my aunt till I was 18, do yall understand I was in and out of the system. She help get here and do this college thing. And I got here and started to drink and smoke even more. I am constantly reminded of Jeffery you are here by yourself. Nobody wanted you; nobody loved you. Nobody cares about you because you came from a junkie and convict. So, before you judge me Tammy, understand everybody’s story is written differently.
JESSICA PINK

Jeffery transition is major. But do not let your past hinder you from your greatness. It is time to write your own story to success.
