6. Salvation. According to the Bible, one’s belonging to a church–Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Protestant--does not make one a Christian. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ. Good works do not result in salvation. Rather, salvation produces good works. Salvation comes from trusting in Christ as Lord and Savior. 7. Retribution. If we believe in Christ, we go to be with God when we physically die, but if we do not believe in Christ, we are already condemned to hell (John 3:16-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:9). There is no reincarnation–no second chance–we live one life and then we are judged (Hebrews 9:27)
