Salvation.
According to the North American Mission Board (see website above, Judaism sees no need for regeneration as expressed in the Christian faith. Since the destruction of the Temple, the most common view of atonement is that forgiveness for sin comes through repentance, prayer, and good deeds. Prior to the destruction of the Temple, animal sacrifices were considered necessary for atonement. Orthodox Judaism holds to the belief that a personal Messiah will come in the future. Others say that the Messiah is figurative—referring to an age of peace or to the nation of Israel.
