Providing sport fishing and bottom fishing charter experiences on the ’38 foot Resmondo, Vitamin Sea, from April through November out of Pensacola Beach Marina.

Pilot Boat Captain at Pensacola Bay Pilots. Pensacola, Fl. 2003-present

I safely operate the 38’RHIB pilot boat in all sea conditions in Pensacola Bay and Pensacola Pass to embark and disembark the Harbor Pilot for the Port of Pensacola .

Inland crew boat captain Parker Drilling Company New Iberia, LA January 2014 to April 2014
Operated 42ft inland crew boat from Intercoastal city LA to White Lake LA in narrow channels, at night, in fog, through locks and barge traffic.

Assistant Mooring Master at Overseas Shipholding Group, Houston, Tx. 2009-2014

I was contracted by OSG to assist in lightering operations in the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I would be deployed for 180 or more days a year to California, Texas, Louisiana, the east coast and Panama to OSG’s chartered 150 foot to 190 foot supply vessels that carry fenders, hoses, wires and other gear necessary for ship to ship mooring. I would basket transfer up to work with the crews of crude oil tankers. A typical scenario in the Gulf of Mexico would be putting a VLCC together with an Aframaxx service vessel. After I worked with the Lightering Support Vessel to install the fenders alongside the ship to be lightered, I would assist the Mooring Master in the ship to ship lightering operation. My duties include but are not limited to: the maintenance and inventory of lightering gear which involved loading the supply vessel by directing a crane and operating a sky lift when working on fenders, designing and implementing the mooring arrangement with the mooring master, directing the connection of the cargo hoses using the ships crane and crew, establishing communications between the ship’s captain and the Mooring Master, standing watches during cargo transfer, and crew safety and supervision.

Captain, Engineer, Mate, Deckhand at Ocean Towing Corporation, Pensacola.2004-present

I work part time with Ocean Towing and I am responsible for the operation, restoration, and maintenance of the 42 foot pilot boat “Pensacola Bay”, which ferries the harbor pilot to and from shipping associated with the Port of Pensacola. Diesel mechanics, electrical troubleshooting, petroleum products management are routine, as well as navigation and boat handling during inclement weather day or night. Ocean Towing also had a contract with Gulf Power Pensacola and I have been working on board the 40 foot push boat “Poncho Man”, which is responsible for handling barges at the coal fired power plant on Escambia River. Deck hand duties include wire handling on barges and routine maintenance on this vessel. I have been trained to act as a backup captain to handle the fleet work for the coal barges on a headline, as well. Ocean Towing also operates several ocean going tug boats. Current part time work consists of ship docking and single hopper barge trips between Pensacola and Mobile.

Environmental Scientist at Enviro ProTech, Pensacola, Fl. 2002-2003

Duties included improving groundwater quality of Northwest Florida with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Agency. I assessed, monitored, and remedied underground storage tank sites for possible petroleum contamination. Duties included soil investigation, installation of monitor wells, soil and water sampling as per FDEP Standard Operating Procedures and the generation of maps, tables and reports for remediation planning.

Fisheries Observer and Biological Technician for Saltwater, Inc, Alaska. 2000-2003

As a North Pacific Ground Fish Observer in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, I was deployed on various commercial fishing vessels in the Bering Sea to collect fisheries data for the National Marine Fisheries. I first completed three weeks of specific training, which included cold water survival, random sampling techniques and species identification. I then was sent to live aboard fishing vessels for periods of up to four months at a time to compile my data. I was then required to present my data for NMFS for review and all my data was accepted.
