Save the configuration on routers R1 and R3.


Save the running configuration to the startup configuration from the privileged EXEC prompt.
  1. Configure IOS Resilience and Management Reporting


In Part 4 of this lab, you will:

  • Secure the Cisco IOS image and configuration files.

  • Configure SNMPv3 security using an ACL.

  • Using NTP, configure a router as a synchronized time source for other devices.

  • Configure syslog support on a router.

  • Install a syslog server on a PC and enable it.

  • Configure the logging trap level on a router.

  • Make changes to the router and monitor syslog results on the PC.

Note: Perform all tasks on both R1 and R3. The procedure and output for R1 is shown here.
