   METHODS OF COMPETITION : Single elimination tournament system for each weight division.
   

• 
  Non PSS(Protector and Scoring System) shall be applied.
  

• 
  Contestants for Gyeorugi for children should bring their own Mandatory Safety Equipment such as Headgear, Groin Guard, Shin Guard, Forearm Guard, Gloves, Foot protector, etc.

   DURATION OF CONTEST : Three rounds of one minute each with a thirty‐second rest period between rounds. In case of a tie score after the completion of the 3rd round, a 4th round of one minute shall be conducted as the golden-point round, after a thirty-second rest period following the 3rd round.

   WEIGH‐IN
   

① Weigh-in of the contestants shall be completed on the previous day of the pertinent competition.

• 
  During weigh-in, the male contestant shall wear underpants and the female contestant shall wear underpants and a brassiere. However, weigh-in may be conducted in the nude if the contestant wishes to do so.
  

③ Weigh-in shall be made once, however, one more weigh-in is granted within the time limit to any contestant who did not qualify the first time.

  Recognized Poomsae (Individual / Team)
  

• 
  The age limits for each division are based on birth year.
  

• 
  Competitors of “30yrs or under” and “40yrs or under” divisions shall be awarded as one category./20ranking points shall be awarded(G2)
  

• 
  In “Children’s division”, same types of Compulsory Poomsae shall be designated for both individual and team contestants.
  

• 
  Cut-off system and single elimination tournament system shall be applied to the Poomsae competitions.
  

• In the case of insufficient number of contestants in each division, consolidation of divisions shall be made.

• 
  Number of contestants : For a team, 3 competitors for Male/Femal respectively. For a pair, 1 male and 1 female.
  

• 
  Contestants are allowed to wear either recognized uniform[Dobok] or WTF Poomsae uniform.
  

• 
  In “Children’s and Cadet’s division” of recognized Poomsae, competitions shall be conducted as mixed gender games.
  

• 
  Individual and Team competitions of recognized Poomsae shall be conducted separately for Koreans and non-
  

Koreans. (Parts of the competitions shall be carried out together.)

• 
  The contest area for Recognized Poomsae : 10m × 10m
  

• 
  Scoring of Recognized Poomsae(Individual, Team, Pair)
  

· Composition of refereeing officials shall be a five-judge system.

• 
  In case of a tied score, the winner shall be the one has higher total points including the highest and lowest point.
  

• 
  In case the match is still tied, the winner shall be the one who has scored higher points in order of skills, presentation, and accuracy.
  

• 
  If it’s still tied, then a rematch shall be conducted to determine the winner.
  

(A Poomsae for a rematch shall be conducted to declare the winner) ② Free Style Poomsae

• 
  Free Style Poomsae is the performance based on taekwondo techniques with composition of music and choreography.
  

• 
  Composition of Free Style Poomsae : Yeon-mu line, music, and choreography shall be the choice of contestant.
  

• 
  Performed techniques must be within boundary of taekwondo. If not, the techniques are subject to “Gamjeom”. The definition of taekwondo techniques shall be determined by Poomsae committee, when contestant submits performance plan of Free Style Poomsae.
  

• 
  Contestants are allowed to wear either recognized uniform[Dobok] or WTF Poomsae uniform.
  

• 
  The contest area for Free Style Poomsae : 12m × 12m

  Scoring of Free Style Poomsae : WTF Poomsae scoring criteria and procedures shall be applied.

  The drawing of lots for cut-off system shall be conducted electronically at the representatives’ meeting to determine the order of competition. The competition shall start from preliminary competitions, and 20 contestants(or teams) shall advance to semi-final. If there are 20 or less contestants(or teams) present at the beginning, the semi-final shall be carried out without preliminary competitions.

  Top eight of the contestants(or teams) shall advance to final.
  

• The finalists shall compete in the order of ranking(lowest to highest).

  Scoring of New Poomsae(Individual, Team, Pair)
  

• 
  Composition of refereeing officials shall be either a five-judge system or a seven-judge system.

  Final score shall be the average point of the total points summed up except the highest and lowest points.

  In case of a tied score, the winner shall be the one who has higher total points except the highest and the lowest point.

❻ INTERNATIONAL REFEREES

1. 
   The required number of International Referees shall be determined in accordance with the WTF Rules.
   

2. 
   Round trip airfare shall be the responsibility of each participating International Referee, while the Organizing Committee will cover accommodation of room and board from July 1 to July 7.
   
3. 
   The Organizing Committee will provide the participating referees with daily allowances of US$100 for the competition days from July 2 to July 7.

   The Representatives’ Meeting and the Drawing of Lot will take place the day before Chuncheon KOREA OPEN in the presence of representatives and officials. The drawing of lots shall be conducted from the lightest weight division up to the heaviest in alphabetical order of the official English names of participating nations.
   

2. 
   For nations that don’t participate in the meeting, the supervisor of the lot carries out drawing as a proxy.
   

3. 
   Order of drawing lots is subject to change at the representatives’ meeting.

  Organizing Committee effects accident insurance for all competitors during the competition only.

  Only first‐aid treatment is available for wounds from the competition.

   PARTICIPATION SUPPORT
   

① Only the teams that apply for 7 or more days of on-site training in Chuncheon before or after the Championships period shall be provided with training facilities and assistance.

  GROUND TRANSPORTATION

  The O.C. will provide ground transportation.

  Shuttle Bus between Incheon airport and Chuncheon

   NOTICE
   

• 
  All competitors must wear WTF approved Taekwondo equipment.
  

• 
  It should be the responsibility of all participants including officials and athletes of CHUNCHEON KOREA OPEN to fill out and submit the enclosed “WAIVER & RELEASE of LIABILITY and INDEMNITY AGREEMENT” form to the O.C.
  

• 
  For matters not specified in the regulation, all participants should follow the decision of Organizing Committee of
