Obit: Edward G Kern, 66, Greeley, died Saturday, Dec 22 (1979) at his home. He was born Jan 7, 1913 at Windsor to Fred and Margaret (Burback) Kern. On May 20, 1940, he married Leora Walters at Sidney, Cheyenne, Neb. Kern grew up at Windsor and later moved to Ault where he was educated. He attended Barnes Business School in Denver prior to becoming a supervisor for Remington Arms in Denver during WWII. He returned to Greeley in 1946 and operated E.H. Horton Sheet Metal Shop until 1952 when he purchased the business. He was a Lennox dealer for 30 years in the Greeley area. He retired in 1979 and sold his business to his son in law Glenn Sanders. Kern was a member of the First Congregational Church, Greeley Elks Lodge No 809, Greeley Skeet & Trap Club, Creditor's Assoc & the Greeley Moose Lodge. Survivors are his wife, Leora of Greeley, two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Hart and Mrs. Glen (Barbara) Sanders, both of Greeley, and four grandchildren. Obit: Donald T. Burback, 59, Greeley, died Thursday, Dec. 26 (1991) at his home. He was born April 13, 1932 to George J and Marie A Brehm Burback in Ault. Mr. Burback graduated from Ault High School. He worked for the Weld County Road Department from 1951 to 1969 then for Monfort of Colorado from 1969 to 1977. He returned to the road department where he worked for five years. He worked construction in Sheridan, Wyo., until returning to Greeley and retiring in 1985. On Jun 7, 1953, he married Virginia Ann Renfro in Ault. Survivors are his wife, Virginia Ann of Greeley; a daughter, Patricia Hudson of Greeley; three sons, Donald G., John D., Henry R and Daniel T., all of Greeley; a sister Dorothy A Heberline of Greeley; and three grandchildren. Neligh-Obit Richard Lee Fuehrer of Neligh died October 31, 1999 of an apparent heart attack while hunting at the age of 56. Memorial services were held at United Methodist Church in Neligh with the Reverend Gary Main officiating. Richard Lee Fuehrer was born September 20, 1943 at Glendale, Los Angeles, CA to Wilfred and Inez (Burbach) Fuehrer. On May 8, 1964, he married Judy Schmidt in Sutton He taught school in Sutton, as a counselor at Hastings High School and supervisor/consultant at Educational Service Unit # 9 for special education, a counselor at Central Community College, and a diagnostician at the Diagnostic Resource Center in Cozad. He was on advisory boards for Kearney State College and the state Commission of Education on Counseling, co-chair for the NPCA Licensure Committee, and he was past president of the Nebraska Professional Counselors Association (NPCA) and past member of the Nebraska. He was a school psychologist for Education Service Unit # 8 in Neligh at the time of his death. He was a member of the American Association of Counseling Development, Council for Exceptional Children, National Association of for School Psychologists, the Nebraska Professional Counselors Association (NPCA) and past member of the Nebraska College Personnel. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; one son, Cory and wife Jodi of Creighton; a sister Cynthia McDaniel of Denver, Denver, CO and one granddaughter, Madison; sister Cynthia McDaniel and family of Brighton Co.
