Ault Resident Dies - 14 Oct 1929 Greeley Tribune (obit) Mrs. Margaret Kern, 39, wife of Fred Kern of northwest of Ault died at the Greeley Hospital Saturday afternoon. She is survived by her husband. Greeley Tribune 13 May 1927 - Second Girl in Kern Family Dies Windsor, May 12. Death has twice visited the Fred Kern's home near Ault, within the last two weeks. Juanita, the 17 year old daughter, was brought to the Windsor hospital Wednesday morning about 8 o'clock, her pulse could not be taken and it remained that way through out the day. She died at about 4:30. Her sister 12 years old, died of diphtheria two weeks ago. Greeley Tribune 5/4/1978 Obit: Henry "Hank" Burback, 75, Johnstown, died Tuesday, May 2, at Weld County General Hospital. He was born Feb 25, 1903, in Boise, Ada, Idaho, to George and Kathrine Burback. He married Rachel Greenwalt Oct 25, 1927 in Greeley. He moved to Windsor with his parents while he was an infant. In 1921, he moved to Johnstown. There he worked at the Johnstown Sugar Factory from 1926 until his retirement at age 65. He was a kiln operator and an assistant foreman. Survivors are his wife, Rachel of Johnstown; two daughters, Betty Jean Work of Arvada and Ruby Ann Meade of Greeley; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
