Sentinel Multirobot Command and Control Interface

Fireseeker allows the deployment and control of multiple autonomous UGVs with explosive detectors to search for IEDs. Sentinel is funded by TARDEC (contract W56HZV-04-C-0684) to develop a system for the command and control of multiple semi-autonomous UGVs.

Sentinel provides an intuitive command and control interface allowing a single human operator to effectively control and coordinate multiple UGVs. The interface provides the operator with situational awareness of the ongoing operations of the deployed UGVs using a layered approach. The layered approach allows the operator to command and control the robots from a system-level down to low-level direct control of each individual UGV should it become necessary.
