1.3.4 Demonstration Requirements within Safety Cases Each safety case submitted by a petroleum undertaking must be in accordance with the Safety Case Guidelines and include, in combination with any other safety case required to be submitted in respect of the same designated petroleum activity, sufficient particulars to demonstrate to the CER that the petroleum undertaking Is complying with its General Duty a) Has the ability to properly assess and effectively control risks that may arise from the carrying on of the designated petroleum activity or activities to a level that is ALARP; b) Having identified all hazards and assessed the risks presented by those hazards, has taken such measures as are adequate to ensure that its safety management system is capable of reducing the risks to a level that is ALARP; c) Has evaluated all petroleum incident risks and emergency measures are in place in the event of such petroleum incident arising and d) Has adequate arrangements established for monitoring, audit and for the making of reports on safety performance and compliance. e) Has adequate arrangements established for monitoring, audit and for making of reports on safety performance and compliance.
