Donald Bush, AIA, LEED AP

Don Bush is a principal as well as leader of the science and technology practice area at architecture firm Lord, Aeck & Sargent (LAS). He has more than 20 years of deep experience focused on science and technology project design and delivery, with specific expertise working on laboratory facilities in the higher education and government research arenas.
In addition to overseeing all projects in the LAS science and technology practice area, Bush serves as principal in charge of certain projects, such as Mercer University’s New Health Science Building, a $12 million, 60,000-square-foot lab facility to be constructed on the university’s Atlanta campus.
Bush joined Lord, Aeck & Sargent in 2012, having previously worked at two other Atlanta architecture firms, most recently as a market leader for higher education and civilian government.
Bush, who has been a practicing architect since 1993, is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society for College and University Planning and the American Biological Safety Association, and is a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certificate holder. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology.


In his leisure time, Bush enjoys biking, Jeep trail riding and landscaping his home in Avondale Estates, Georgia.
