Fern Ackley was born about 1896 in White Oak, Ingham County, Michigan, and died on May 1, 1964;

Clare Anthony Cavender (“Clare Cavender” & “C.A. Cavender”) born September 16, 1900 in Waterloo, Jackson County, Michigan, never married, served in World War II, died on February 18, 1961, and is buried in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Howell, Livingston County, Michigan.501

JACOB CAVENDER and his wife, Margaret Cavender (fromerly Margaret Wright) were paying taxes in 1785 in Nanticoke Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware. It is believed by some that they were the parents of:

LLOYD CAVENDER (“Loyd Cavender”) who was born in either Maryland or Delaware about 1808, first married Nancy Hubbard. He apparently later married Carolyn Lynch on August 18, 1846 and who was born about 1814 in West Virginia and who died December 7, 1912 in Union City, Indiana on December 7, 1912. He died November 19, 1901 in Union City, Indiana. In 1850, the Lloyd Cavender family was living in Xenia Township, Greene County, Ohio and his children then living at home were listed as being: Lilala Cavender (“Cecilia Cavender”? & "Lila Cavender"?) age 16 and born in Greene County, Ohio about 1834; Margaret Cavender age 13 and born in Greene County, Ohio about 1837; John Cavender age 5 and born in Greene County, Ohio about 1845; and, Elizabeth J. Cavender ("Elizabeth Cavender", “E.J. Cavender” & "Eliza Cavender") age 3 months and born in Greene County, Ohio about 1850. Thus, Lloyd Cavender and Nancy Hubbard Cavender (“Nancy Cavender”) apparently had 2 children:

LILALA CAVENDER (“Cecilia Cavender”? & "Lila Cavender"?) age 16 and born in Greene County, Ohio about 1834, and married Edward Edwards on either August 18, 1852 or on August 20, 1852 with Rev. T. Marshall performing the ceremony. Edwin Edwards was born about 1834 in Virginia. Edwin Edwards and Lilala Edwards (“Cecilia Edwards”) had 7 children:

Benjamin Allen was born August 27, 1831 in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio, died September 9, 1871 in Clinton County, Ohio, and is buried with his wife. Benjamin Allen and Margaret Allen had 9 children:

WILLIAM FRANKLIN ALLEN (“William Allen”) born September 24, 1858 in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio, married Alice Jane Bonecutter (“Alice Bonecutter”) on October 19, 1877 in Clinton County, Ohio, and died November 16, 1921 in Clinton County, Ohio. CHARLES EDGAR ALLEN (“Charles Allen”) born October 3, 1889 in Clinton County, Ohio, married Alda M. Arrosmith (“Alda Arrosmith”), and died April 22, 1962 in Sabina, Clinton County, Ohio. Alda Arrosmith was born August 9, 1901 in Adams County, Ohio, and died May 4, 1985 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio; and,

LUCY MARIE ALLEN (“Lucy Allen” & “Loucille Allen”?) born April 29, 1887, married Harry Burns, and died June 14, 1969 in Fayette County, Ohio. Harry Burns was born December 30, 1853, and died October 3, 1916;



SAMUEL M. ALLEN (“Samuel Allen”) born April 4, 1859, married Sarah Kathryn Eutsler (“Sarah Eutsler”) on August 26, 1881, and died in 1928 in Fayette County, Ohio. Sarah Eutsler was born April 30, 1859, and died February 13, 1956. Samuel Allen and Sarah Allen had 4 children:

EDITH ELIZABETH ALLEN (“Edith Allen”) born about 1883, and died about 1957;

CLYDE MASON ALLEN (“Clyde Allen”) born about 1886;

MARGARET MYRTLE ALLEN (“Margaret Allen”) born in December 1890, married Earl R. Smith (“Earl Smith”), and died February 27, 1985 in Washington Court House, Fayette County, Ohio. Earl Smith was born about 1889, and died about 1972; and,

NINA MARIE ALLEN (“Nina Allen”) (“Nina Allen”) born about 1896, and married Alvin Ladd;

EMMA JANE ALLEN (“Emma Allen”) (“Emma Allen”) born in June 1861 in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio, married John W. Plymire (“John Plymire”) on October 25, 1877 in Clinton, County, Ohio, and died January 15, 1946 in Sabina, Clinton County, Ohio. John Plymire was born in February 1856, and died April 9, 1916 in Sabina, Clinton County, Ohio. John Plymire and Emma Plymire had 6 children:

ELIJAH PLYMIRE born August 3, 1882 in Sabina, Clinton County, Ohio, married Maggie Zurface on December 10, 1903, and died about 1918 in Blanchester, Ohio. Maggie Zurface was born about 1883, and died about 1959;

DAVID ELLSWORTH ALLEN (“David Allen”) born March 27, 1864 in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio, married Mary Alice Cook ("Mary Cook") on January 9, 1890 in Memphis, Clinton County, Ohio, and died October 17, 1939 in Midland, Clinton County, Ohio. Mary Cook was born February 28, 1869 in Tranquility, Adams County, Ohio, and died June 10, 1941 in Clinton County, Ohio. David Allen and Mary Allen had 8 children:

GEORGE THURMAN CAVENDER ("George Cavender" & “G.T. Cavender”) who was born April 4, 1892 in either Sidney, Greene County, Ohio or in Findley, Shelby County, Ohio, married Hattie Adeline Wood ("Hattie Wood" & “Harriett Wood”?) on November 26, 1917 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, died August 27, 1952 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, and is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio.
