Ashworth ("Arnold Ashworth"), lived in Charleston, West Virginia, was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, had no children, died May 1983 at the age of 71, and is buried in the Bond Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia; Arl Cavender ("Blackie Cavender") born April 4, 1917 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Violet Ova White ("Violet White") on May 16, 1937 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died May 12, 1983 in Sissonville, Kanawha County, West Virginia at the age of 66. Cavender”) born March 25, 1970 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia; and, an infant who died at birth; and, Atlee Edward Cavender ("Atlee Cavender" & "Pete Cavender") born January 23, 1920 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Nellie Avalee Casto ("Nellie Casto"), received a B.S. degree from the California State University in Los Angeles, California, was a Captain of the Charleston, West Virginia police department, lived in Riverview, Florida and in Riverside, California for 28 years, and died August 5, 1985 in Riverview, Hillsborough County, Florida as a result of a heart attack at the age of 48. The 3 children of Atlee Cavender and Nellie Cavender were: Gary Atlee Cavender ("Gary Cavender" & “G.A. Cavender”) born December 15, 1944 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married a Linda, and died July 30, 1993 in Riverside, Stanislaus County, California. The children of Gary Cavender and Linda Cavender were: Gary Cavender; and, Kelly Cavender ("Kelley Cavender"?); Deborah Lynn Cavender ("Deborah Cavender" & “D.L. Cavender”) born March 20, 1951 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia; and, Karen June Cavender (“Karen Cavender” & “K.J. Cavender”) born October 9, 1953 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married a Butler, and lived in Tampa, Florida; MORRISON CAVENDER born October 5, 1843 in Kanawha County, Virginia which later became Kanawha County, West Virginia, and married Susan Maria Jarrett ("Susan Jarrett") on February 27, 1868 in Kanawha County, West Virginia when he was 23 years of age and she was 19 years of age. Morrison Cavender grew to be six feet four inches tall, died March 20, 1925 at Kanawha Two Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia at the age of 81 years 5 months and 17 days, and is buried in the Cavender Cemetery in Five Mile, Coopers Creek, West Virginia. Susan Cavender was born about 1856, was the daughter of James Jarrett and Pauline, and died in 1895. In 1850, a Morrison Cavender, age 7, was living in Kanawha County, Virginia in the household of Andrew Cavender. The 10 children of Morrison Cavender and Susan Cavender were: Amanda Catherine Cavender ("Amanda Cavender" & “A.C. Cavender”) born January 18, 1869 in Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Elias Fenton Baxter (“Elias Baxter”) on June 29, 1892 at the age of 23 with Rev. C. B. Graham performing the ceremony, died April 16, 1914 at the age of 45 years 2 months and 28 days, and is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Four Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Elias Baxter was born about 1863, was 29 years of age when he married, and died April 15, 1942. The 6 children of Elias Baxter and Amanda Baxter were: Asa Basil Baxter ("Asa Baxter") born April 8, 1893, never married, taught school in Kanawha County for 40 years, was a member of Elk Valley Advent Christian Church of Big Chimney in Kanawha County, died January 11, 1962 at the age of 68 from a heart attack caused by fumes from a gas heater, and is buried in the Hall Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Ira Ellison Baxter ("Ira Baxter") born July 28, 1894, married Gladys Dell Pauley ("Gladys Pauley") December 16, 1917 with Rev. E.G. Westfall performing the ceremony, was a member of the Elk Valley Advent Christian Church at Big Chimney, died May 2, 1973 at the age of 78, and is buried in the Hall Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Gladys Pauley was born October 17, 1899, was the daughter of James Henry Pauley ("James Pauley") and Fannie Dell Lacy ("Fannie Lacy" & "Francis Lacy"?), and died June 7, 1992. The children of Ira Baxter and Fannie Baxter were: Forest Emerson Baxter ("Forest Baxter") born February 11, 1923, married Wilma Lorraine Trudell ("Wilma Trudell") January 2, 1945 with the ceremony being conducted by Rev. J.M. Withrow, died March 10, 1948 at the age of 25 in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and is buried in the Hall Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Wilma Trudell was the daughter of Arthur J. Trudell ("Arthur Trudell"). Forest Baxter and Wilma Baxter had a son named: Forest Emerson Baxter, Jr. ("Forest Baxter") born in 1945 and lived only 3 days; Phyllis Dawn Baxter ("Phyllis Baxter"?) born August 5, 1926, and married Roy James Spradling ("Roy Spradling") of Big Chimney, West Virginia June 9, 1944 with the ceremony being conducted by Rev. J.M. Withrow. Roy Spradling was born August 15, 1918 and was the son of Albert Spradling and Minnie Lee Grass ("Minnie Grass"). The children of Roy Spradling and Phyllis Spradling were: Kyle Brent Spradling ("Kyle Spradling") born November 12, 1946, and married Barbara Jean Larch ("Barbara Larch") September 2, 1967. Barbara Larch was born November 11, 1948 and was the daughter of Samuel Bernard Larch ("Samuel Larch") and Neva L. Johnston ("Neva Johnston"). Kyle Spradling and Barbara Spradling had a daughter named: Heather Dawn Spradling ("Heather Spradling") born August 5, 1974; Beverly Ann Spradling ("Beverly Spradling") born October 3, 1948 and married James Michael Shock ("Janes Shock") April 27, 1968. James Shock was born April 27, 1943. The children of James Shock and Beverly Shock were: James Everett Shock ("James Shock") born September 6, 1970; Michael Baxter Shock ("Michael Shock") born October 31, 1973; and, Jeffery Alan Shock ("Jeffery Shock" & "Jeffrey Shock") born August 26, 1977; Chris Ellison Spradling ("Chris Spradling" & "Christopher Spradling"?) born July 3, 1960; and, Debra Leigh Spradling ("Debra Spradling" & "Deborah Spradling"?) born July 10, 1962; Sonja Helene Baxter ("Sonja Baxter") born February 16, 1940, married Donald Paul Smith ("Donald Smith") of Charleston, West Virginia on December 31, 1959 with Rev. Homer D. Baxter ("Homer Baxter") performing the ceremony at the Elmore Memorial Advent Christian Church; and, Carmon Ellison Baxter ("Carmon Baxter") born August 10, 1918, died August 25, 1918, and is buried in the Hall Cemetery in Big Chimney, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Eltin Ezra Baxter ("Eltin Baxter" & "Elton Baxter"?) born May 14, 1896, never married, died August 16, 1914 at the age of 18 years 3 months and 2 days, and is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Four Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Homer Dathan Baxter ("Homer Baxter") born December 29, 1899 at Coopers Creek, near Charleston, West Virginia, married Mabel Conner November 29, 1923, became a minister at various churches including the Elmore A.C. Church, died January 22, 1982 from a heart attack, and is buried in the Floral Hill Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sissonville, West Virginia. Mabel Conner was born September 9, 1899 and was the daughter of John Conner and Mary Jane Forrier ("Mary Forrier" & "Elizabeth Forrier"). The children of Homer Baxter and Mabel Baxter were: Homer Dathan Baxer, Jr. ("Homer Baxter") born November 22, 1924, first married Constance Harolden Houston ("Constance Houston") April 1948, later married Saida Margaret Nelon (formerly "Saida Kerr") October 1, 1977, and died August 22, 1990 in Daytona, Florida at the age of 65. Constance Houston was born December 6, 1931 and Saida Kerr was born October 1, 1932. The children of Homer Baxter and Constance Baxter were: Craig Robert Baxter ("Craig Baxter") born April 16, 1952; Don Randal Baxter ("Don Baxter" & "Donald Baxter") born April 21, 1953, and married Gay Lee Buscove ("Gay Buscove") November 19, 1977 and lived in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Boca Raton, Florida; and, Keith Allen Baxter ("Keith Baxter") born August 1, 1957; and, Glenna Marie Baxter ("Glenna Baxter") born August 30, 1930, and married George Howard Moose ("George Moose") March 31, 1956 at the First Advent Christian Church with the ceremony being conducted by Rev. Loran Ross. George Moose was born May 9, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina and was the son of John Daniel Moose ("John Moose") and Nannie Victoria Bost. George Moose and Glenna Moose had a daughter named: Kimberly Kay Moose ("Kimberly Moose") born November 8, 1958, and married Louis Steven Dodd ("Louis Dodd") November 19, 1977 with the Rev. Homer Baxter performing the ceremony at the Elmore Advent Christian Church. Louis Dodd was born April 9, 1958 and was the son of Rev. Louis Edmund Dodd ("Louis Dodd") of Elkview, West Virginia and Mary Anna Butler ("Mary Butler" & "Elizabeth Butler"). The children of Louis Dodd and Kimberly Dodd were: Andrea Meredith Dodd ("Andrea Dodd") born June 19, 1982; and, Nicholas Clay Dodd ("Nicholas Dodd") born November 17, 1986; Otis Emory Baxter ("Otis Baxter") born June 9, 1903, first married a White, later married Crystal Gladys Westfall ("Crystal Westfall") June 9, 1932, died December 25, 1962 at the age of 59 in Big Chimney, West Virginia, and is buried in the Tyler Mountain Memorial Garden Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. Crystal Westfall was born December 16, 1905 and was the daughter of James E. Westfall ("James Westfall") and Victoria Olive Mathews ("Victoria Mathews" & "Olive Matthews"?) and later apparently married Hayes Christy and still later married Opha E. Jones ("Opha Jones") February 14, 1983. Otis Baxter apparently had a child by his first marriage. The children of Otis Baxter and Crystal Baxter were: Anna Lea Baxter ("Anna Baxter") born April 19, 1933, and married James Carlton Barbour ("James Barbour") December 5, 1953 in the Coopers Creek A. C. Church. James Barbour was born January 27, 1931 and died July 6, 1967. Anna Barbour apparently later married Durwood Edwards Hobbs ("Durwood Hobbs") April 5, 1968. The children of James Barbour and Anna Barbour were: Carlton Harris Barbour ("Carlton Barbour" & "Carlton Barber"?) born March 17, 1955 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and married Nancy Lou Custy ("Nancy Custy") August 9, 1974 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Carlton Barbour and Nancy Barbour had a son named: Brandon Barbour ("Brandon Barber"?); and Valeria Lea Barbour ("Valeria Barbour", "Valorie Barber"? & "Valorie Barbour"?) born February 18, 1960 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and married Glenn Marty Cox July 16, 1977 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The children of Franklin Baxter and Patricia Baxter were: Rebecca Ann Baxter ("Rebecca Baxter") an adopted daughter born February 20, 1964, married Bobby Brian Breeden ("Bobby Breeden" & "Robert Breeden"?) September 17, 1983 in the Coal Fork Methodist Church with the Rev. Earl Cochran performing the ceremony, and later married Bill Jeo Sevy ("Bill Sevy" & "William Sevy"?) March 4, 1989. Bill Sevy was the son of Bill Sevy and Rose; and, Lisa Gail Baxter ("Lisa Baxter") born April 24, 1968, and married Kevin Charles Neeley ("Kevin Neeley") July 14, 1989 at the Elkview Baptist Church; and, Grover Cleveland Baxter ("Grover Baxter") born September 28, 1940 in Beckley, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and married Peggy Ann Douglas ("Peggy Douglas") February 5, 19?? with Rev. H.D. Baxter performing the ceremony in the Elk River Church of the Naxarene. Peggy Douglas was the daughter of Wesley David Douglas ("Westley Douglas") and Beulah Constance Campbell ("Beulah Campbell"). The children of Grover Baxter and Peggy Baxter were: Katherine Lynn Baxter ("Katherine Baxter" & "Kathy Baxter") born July 6, 1963 in Miami, Florida and married Thomas Lawrence Weir ("Thomas Weir") November 8, 1986 in Miami, Dade County, Florida. Thomas Weir was born June 6, 1960 in Albion, Michigan and was the son of Larry Edward Weir ("Larry Weir") and Iris Rodene Carter ("Iris Carter"); and, Gary Crawford Baxter ("Gary Baxter") born April 2, 1967 at Hieleah, Florida; and, Tiny Floyd Baxter ("Tiny Baxter") born August 30, 1905, died June 28, 1914 at the age of 8 years 10 months and 23 days, and is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Four Mile, Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Mary Alice Cavender ("Mary Cavender", Mary A. Cavender”, “M.A. Cavender” & "Elizabeth Cavender") born on either February 14, 1871 or February 14, 1870494, married William Grant Guthrie ("William Guthrie") April 23, 1890 in Kanawha County, West Virginia when she was 19 years of age and with Rev. Henry Young performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died either about 1953 or about 1951494. William Guthrie was born about 1864, was the son of John Guthrie and Mary Wallace, and was married when he was 26 years of age.
