23.2 punctuation 1. Many authors use a capital letter with figure, table,
appendix, both as full and abbreviated words. This rule only applies when these words are followed by a number.
2. The number that comes after an abbreviation is preceded by a space.
3. Abbreviations of quantities (examples meters, kilograms) are not followed by a full stop (.). Write such abbreviations in lowercase.
