Nashville, TN. Firehouse Hockey was formed in April of 2015 by Ben Butzbach. Firehouse Hockey was started as a site to help connect public safety hockey teams and highlight their charitable efforts. The site has grown to over 40 hockey teams over 2 continents. Firehouse Hockey is dedicated to supporting Fire, Police, EMS, and Military teams around the world. The site is free for teams to join, and gives each team their own website. As Firehouse Hockey continues to expand their efforts, the decision was made to incorporate as a 501c3 non-profit organization. Today, as they finalize their non profit status, it is a great honor to announce the formation of the Firehouse Hockey Executive Board. Ben Butzbach will serve as the President of Firehouse Hockey and joining him on the board will be  Nashville attorney Andy Maloney and Nashville Predators broadcaster Chris Mason.

Andy is President of Nashville Title Insurance Corporation.  He has over 29 years of experience in the title industry. He started title searching in 1987 for Lawyers Title, one of the industry's largest insurers. Since that time, he has performed every aspect in the closing process. Andy has also taught real estate law at several local colleges and paralegal schools. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Belmont University and J.D. from the Nashville School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Andy's practice includes: Estate Planning; Wills; Trusts; Probate; Commercial and Residential Real Estate and Business Law; and Athlete representation.  Andy is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.  He serves on the ALTA Best Practices Task Force, Former Chairman of the Technology Committee and the Publicity Committee.  Also, Andy is President-Elect of the Tennessee Land Title Association with his term beginning in 2017.10900037_10208234449927585_2832296080846062263_o

Chris Mason is a native of Red Deer, Alberta.  He is a former professional goaltender with over 20 years of professional experience. Chris started his professional hockey career playing major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. Mason was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1995. Chris Mason was a National Hockey League goaltender for the Nashville Predators, Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, and the Saint Louis Blues. Chris also played in for Ritten Rennon of the Italy A Serie and the Augsberg Panthers of the Deutsche Eishockey League (Germany). Upon returning to North America, he has made his home outside of Nashville, TN with his family. Chris has joined the Nashville Predators broadcasting crew and can be heard frequently providing color analysis alongside long-time broadcaster Pete Weber.mason

Ben Butzbach is a former industrial fire brigade firefighter, and former volunteer rescue technician and firefighter. Known affectionately as "Big Ben" to his fans, Ben became a Nashville Predators icon painting his stomach and performing on the Bridgestone Arena megatron. Ben gained international acclaim when he proposed to his now wife Brandy on Valentines Day 2015. He is the co-host of Penalty Box Radio, a weekly hockey program which airs live on 102.5 The Game, ESPN Radio Nashville. While no longer active in the fire service, Ben is still very passionate about helping those who serve their community. Ben started Firehouse Hockey, as a way to help publicize team's charitable efforts, and link teams together for scheduling games.fh pic
