Perforated Steel Square Tube Sign Support Footings 00920SP442 (01-14-10) (This Section requires SP2030.) SECTION 00442 - CONTROLLED LOW STRENGTH MATERIALS Comply with Section 00442 of the Standard Specifications. SP530 (03-31-08) SECTION 00530 - STEEL REINFORCEMENT FOR CONCRETE (Follow all instructions. If there are no instructions above a subsection, paragraph, sentence, or bullet, then include them in the project but make necessary modifications to only include project specific specifications. Delete specifications that do not apply to the project.) Comply with Section 00530 of the Standard Specifications modified as follows: 00530.90 Payment - Replace this subsection with the following subsection: 00530.90 Payment – No separate or additional payment will be made for reinforcement of drilled shafts supporting camera poles. Payment will be included in payment made for “Camera Poles and Foundations” or “Radar Poles and Foundations.” No separate or additional payment will be made for clips, wire, separators, wire chairs, and other material used in fastening the reinforcement in place. (Use the following subsection .80(a) when reinforcement is paid for on the lump sum basis. Remove the coated column if coated steel is not required. Obtain information from the Bridge Designer.) 00530.80(a) Lump Sum - Add the following to the end of this subsection: The estimated quantity of reinforcement is: Quantity Structure Uncoated Coated (Pound) (Pound) The weight of miscellaneous metal, based on weights listed in 00530.80(b) and Project quantities, is included in the estimated quantity of uncoated reinforcement. SP535 (03-31-08) SECTION 00535 - RESIN BONDED ANCHOR SYSTEMS Comply with Section 00535 of the Standard Specifications. SP589 (03-31-08) SECTION 00589 - UTILITY ATTACHMENTS ON STRUCTURES Section 00589, which is not a Standard Specification, is included in this Project by Special Provision. Description 00589.00 Scope - This work consists of providing for attachment or installation of utilities on new and existing structures as shown or as directed. (Use the following two paragraphs when structures have been designated "Special Structures" by Bridge Engineering Section. List the designated Special Structures by bridge number.) The following structures are designated "Special Structures":
Utility attachments to Special Structures shall not alter the appearance of the structure. Make attachments only inside the girder line, as close as possible to the soffit, or as required to make the installation as inconspicuous as practicable. Materials 00589.10 General - Furnish utility attachment systems using materials from the QPL and meeting the following requirements: Structural Steel 02530Forgings, Shafting, Castings, and Nonferrous Materials 02540Fasteners 02560Reflective Sheeting 02910.30Resin Bonded Anchor System 00535.10Furnish brackets constructed of stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized structural steel. Construction 00589.40 General - Provide sufficient space around utilities for maintenance activities. Avoid drilling through reinforcing steel. If reinforcing steel is hit, move the anchor location and patch the hole with an approved patching material from the QPL. Attach conduits or brackets to concrete structures with resin bonded concrete anchors, unless otherwise shown or approved. 00589.41 Natural Gas Lines - Conform to CFR 49 Part 192 in all aspects applicable to the work. Provide isolation valving 200 feet from each end of the bridge. 00589.48 Labeling - Clearly label all piping or conduit systems according to the following APWA color code: Table 00589-1
Generate purple by placing purple transparent film over white reflective sheeting. The purple tint of the transparent film shall match Federal Standard Color 595B No. 37100. Minimum length of label shall be as shown in Table 00589-2. Table 00589-2
Place labels on each pipe or conduit, on each side of every bent, and at each entrance to a box girder. Where piping is above or below normal line of sight, place pipe labels so that label may be seen from normal eye height. Measurement 00589.80 Measurement - No measurement of quantities will be made for work performed under this Section. Payment 00589.90 Payment - The accepted quantities of work performed under this Section will be paid for at the Contract lump sum amount for the item "Utility Attachment on Structures". Payment will payment in full for furnishing and placing all materials, and for furnishing all equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified. SP815 (05-16-08) (This Section requires SP440.) SECTION 00815 - BOLLARDS (Follow all instructions. If there are no instructions above a subsection, paragraph, sentence, or bullet, then include them in the project but make necessary modifications to only include project specific specifications. Delete specifications that do not apply to the project.) Provide and install bollards satisfying the requirements and standards of Portland General Electric (PGE). Comply with PGE requirements and Section 00815 of the Standard Specifications , unless it conflicts with PGE requirements, modified as follows: 00815.00 Scope - Replace this subsection, except for the subsection number and title, with the following: Furnish and install bollards satisfying the requirements and standards of Portland General Electric (PGE).
