GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES 2013 PROGRAM FOR AUGUST SUMMIT IN NEW YORK CITY
Full Agenda and Participating Thought Leaders Featured on Newly Redesigned Website

May 15, 2013 (Portland, Ore.) — The Green Sports Alliance, a nonprofit that brings sports organizations and environmental experts together to improve the environmental performance of sports teams and facilities, has revealed its 2013 Summit Program. The Alliance’s third annual Summit, which unites the sports community around sustainability each year, will take place Aug. 26 - 28, 2013 in New York City.

“We are excited to release the innovative program we’ve developed for our third Summit,” said Scott Jenkins, Chairman of the Green Sports Alliance and Vice President of Ballpark Operations at the Seattle Mariners. “We’re advancing the greening of the entire sports industry, so we’ve brought the conference to the heart of the industry, New York City. We’ve pulled together a speaker lineup of over 80 sport and sustainability leaders to deliver the latest innovations in sports greening. The 2013 Summit Program promises to present solutions to the most prevalent environmental challenges faced in professional and collegiate sports today.”
