DIRECTIONS:
You will be creating a Monopoly-style game based on the Westward Expansion of the United States. You may choose to work alone, or in groups of up to four people. Expectations concerning quality of the finished project will vary depending on the number of members in your group. For example, I would expect a group of four to be able to produce a higher quality project then someone who chooses to work alone.
All properties, railroads, utilities, etc. will be replaced with people, places, events, and inventions from the time period. The “Chance” and “Community Chest” are the only spots on the traditional Monopoly board that remain as is on your board. Use the following chart to construct your board:
