Hazel Dell, Washington and is part of the Vancouver School District. Every spring, since 1965, Hazel Dell has entertained the "Parade of Bands." The parade was firstly arranged and sponsored by Harvey Johnson and his family who have the Steak burger.

The Vancouver Convention Centre (usually known as the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, or VCEC), is a convention centre in Canada, it is one of Canada's biggest convention centers. Along with the opening of the new East Building in 2008, it now has 483,524 ft² of meeting space. The East Building is situated in Canada, which it shares with a cruise ship terminal. It has more than 160,000 ft² (13,938 m²) of space, including a 92,204 ft² (8,600 m²) column-free, separable exhibition hall, 30 meeting rooms, and a ballroom. Construction starts in November 2005 on the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project (VCCEP). The newly structure was built on the waterfront near by Canada Place, with 40% over the water and 60% on the land.

Cruise Terminal Ballantyne St. - Vancouver, BC, CA

The Port of Vancouver is a homeport for the Vancouver-Alaska cruise, one of the world’s most famous cruises. The Port has generally two cruise terminals, Canada Place and Ballantyne Street. Ballantyne, the Port of Vancouver second cruise facility, is situated near the centre of city and only minutes away from the Canada Place. The whole terminal Ballantyme underwent a main expansion and renovation in 1996, assuring modern and efficient services to the cruise industry. Every year between April and October, almost a million passengers sail into or out its two cruise terminal Ballantyne.

The Canada Place – Cruise Line Terminal is situated in South Vancouver and points towards Vancouver. In the time of early morning, you can see the cruise ships tail here. Then, afterwards in the early evenings, watch the cruise ships as they push backwards into the harbor and then set sail for Alaska. Cruise ship line terminal season runs from April until November. Watchers will also see bottoms anchored in the harbor, pleasure yachts, tugboats and our very own “seabus” as it travels back and forth every 20 minutes bestowing commuters’ home from the downtown core.  In fact, if you are a passenger of a cruise ship and have some time before you board ship, you may wish to get aboard the “seabus”, very cheap, very secure and docks right next to your ship.

Burnaby is situated in east Vancouver. It is located 16 km east of downtown Vancouver.

North America's second largest Chinatown is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. it is surrounded by Gastown and the Downtown Financial and Central Business Districts,the Downtown Eastside, the remnant of old Japantown and the residential neighbourhood of Strathcona. its street borders area as designated by the authorities is between Pender Street and Hastings, Georgia, Gore, and Taylor Streets, however its unofficial boundaries extend well into the Downtown Eastside. Main, Pender, and Keefer Streets are the prominent areas regarding commercial activities. Chinatown is a popular tourist attraction, also it is one of the largest historic Chinatowns in North America. However, it went into decline as new members of Chinese community spread to other areas of the city. Due to the large Chinese community in Vancouver, it is sometimes called as "Hongcouver". Chinatown is prospering day by day as new investment and traditional businesses are flourishing. Now a days this town has many traditional restaurants, banks, open markets, clinics, tea shops, clothing and other shops catering to the local community and tourists alike.

 Stanley Park - Vancouver, BC, CA 


Around the World Stanley Park is recognized as one of the great parks on the planet. Thus park is Vancouver's first park and one of the main tourist attractions. Stanley Park is spread over 400 hectares of evergreen oasis and is situated very close to downtown core. Its natural atmosphere offers a back drop of magnificent cedar, hemlock and fir trees which embrace visitors and transports them to surroundings which are rich in tranquility. The park has plenty of wildlife and appeals to the natural scientists, plant lovers or the people who just want to relax in beautiful atmosphere. This park is 10% larger than New York City's Central Park and  is almost half the size of London's Richmond Park. The park is visited by an estimated eight million visitors every year. Stanley Park has numerous natural and man-made attractions that tempt people to visit the park. It offers them forests, water bodies, animals, monuments and other recreational facilities. 

 

 Vancouver Aquarium - Vancouver, BC,CA   


The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre is a self-supporting and non-profit association which is dedicated to protect the aquatic life through display and interpretation, education, research, and direct action. In the aquarium Aquafacts are designed to answer all the questions that come in mind while and after visiting this wonderful world of water. The Vancouver Aquarium was one of the first to introduce Naturalists, who are trained to introduce the visitors to the lives of the animals, teach them whatthey can learn from them, and provide answers to all their questions.  
The Vancouver Aquarium was formed in 1951 as the Vancouver Public Aquarium Association. Being Canada's first public Aquarium it was opened on June 15, 1956. Vancouver Aquarium has joined hands with zoos and aquariums around the world to stop hundreds of species from vanishing forever. The Aquarium donates to a wide variety of community groups, local charities and not-for-profits which a focus on children/youth, education, people with disabilities and the environment. The aquarium also offers genral public to hold their special events in the aquarium. 

 

 



General Motors Place - Vancouver, BC, CA
General Motors Place has always attracted the leading names in show business to its arena and has received more than 10 million visitors since its opening. GM Place is habitat to the Vancouver Canucks and the Vancouver Ravens. General Motors Place is one of the most active entertainment sites in North America. General Motors Place hosts nearly 170 events each year, positioning it among the busiest facilities in America. GM Place is the host of ice hockey events during 2010 Winter Olympic Games which are being organized in Vancouver. These will be the first Olympic Games to use NHL sized ice. Construction of General Motors Place was completed in 1995 with a cost of 160 million Canadian Dollars. The arena has 18,630 seats for ice hockey and 19,193 for basketball. It has 88 magnificent suites, 12 hospitality suites, and 2,195 club seats. The arena replaced the Pacific Coliseum as the main place for events in Vancouver.

Convention Center - Austin, TX, US  


The Austin Convention Center is located in the heart of the Austin, Texas. The convention center has a well-situated city center location, between the shoreline of Town Lake and historic Sixth Street. LBJ Library - Austin, TX,US  

The missions of LBJ Library is to protect and look after the historical resources of LBJ Library and make them open for every one and to raise public awareness about the American history through displays and informative programs. The board of the library also wants to advance the Library and Museum's rank as a center for educational activity and community. The Library is situated in The University of Texas’s campus in Austin and is spread over 30-acre of land. The building is adjacent to Sid Richardson Hall and the LBJ School of Public Affairs. The library was dedicated on May 22, 1971. The library is looked after by National Archives and Records Administration. It has 40 million pages of historical documents in its archives. The library has many attractions for the visitors like Replica of the Oval Office, Lady Bird exhibit, Portraits of the Presidents and First Ladies, Animated figure of LBJ telling anecdotes, Old news footage in black and white and large photos of rooms in the White House.

 

 

Austin Children's Museum - Austin,TX,US  



The Austin Children’s Museum was founded in 1983 and its theme was to establish a “Museum without walls” by creating an alliance of parents and educators. The museum arranges Exhibitions and programs at schools, parks, amusement centers, libraries, and at malls. More than 800,000 visitors have benefited from exhibitions and programs since the opening of the Museum. The Austin Children's Museum is funded through a mixture of humanitarian gifts, earned income, and by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division in shape of a grant. The museum is based on the vision of child-adult learning relationship and wants to cultivate a society that holds the love of learning, the longing for knowledge and a respect for questions. Its aim is to equip the future generations for development, modernism and mutual problem solving.

 

 Wildflower Center - Austin,TX,US  



The Wildflower Center is located in Southwest Austin, Texas and is working to protect the Native wild flowers, plants and landscapes of the area. America’s former first lady, Lady Bird Johnson, founded this organization in 1982. At first it was called “the National WildflowerResearch Center” but later it was named as the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.  This centre is working to introduce the common people to the beauty and multiplicity of wildflowers and other native plants. The Center became a structured Research Unit of theUniversity of Texas at Austin in 2006. The Center’s grounds display the native plants of the Central Texas Hill Country, South and West Texas. The Native Plant Information Network also offers a database of more than 7,200 native species online. The Land Restoration Program pertain knowledge of biological processes to restoring damaged landscapes. The Center teaches children and adult people about natural ambiance and how to grow native plants in their own backyards by its educational programs.

Austin Amtrak Station - Austin, TX,US



 

The Austin Amtrak station is situated in the former station of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, which is in west of downtown Austin, Texas. The station is served by Amtrak's Texas Eagle route, which leads to Chicago in North and to Los Angeles in west.Austin's Amtrak Station is a stop for the Texas Eagle.  A Daily service of Texas Eagle is run between San Antonio and Dallas.The Texas Eagleis a 1306-mile passenger train route operated by Amtrak in the central and western US. Trains run daily between Chicago, Illinois, and San Antonio, Texas, and continue to Los Angeles, California. Amtrak's Texas Eagle is successor of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and Texas and Pacific Railway train, which was started on August 15, 1948.

Sixth Street - Austin,TX,US   
The historic street and entertainment district in Austin, Texas, is known as 6th Street. East 6th Street which is the center of the city's live music scene was formerly named Pecan Street under Austin's older naming reunion, which had north-south streets named after Texas rivers and east-west streets named after trees. The heart of the Austin entertainment district is the area around nearby 4th Street and 6th Street as many shopping malls , music venues, bars, and clubs which offer live music at one time or another during the week are located on E. 6th Street between and Interstate 35 and Congress Avenue. Wide variety of events each year, ranging from music and film festivals to biker rallies and the Pecan Street Festival are hosted by 6th Street.

State Capitol - Austin,TX,US   


In Austin, Texas, the Texas State Capitol is located which is the fourth building in Austin to serve as the seat of Texas government. It houses the office of the governor of Texas and chambers of the Texas Legislature. Elijah E. Myers, the great architect designed Capitol in 1881,but he got fired in 1886, and then it was reconstructed under the direction of civil engineer Reuben Lindsay Walker from 1882–88.In 1993, an underground extension was completed with $75 million. In 1970, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places and in 1986, it got renowned as a National Historic Landmark. The Texas state capitol, though 308 ft (94 m) tall, not considered to be the tallest but the largest state capitol building in the United States.

Town Lake - Austin,TX,US   


In downtown Austin, Texas, there is a reservoir named Town Lake on the Colorado River ,in the United States. In 1960, the reservoir was formed by the construction of Longhorn Dam, by the City of Austin, at its eastern boundary.Tom Miller Dam which was built in 1939,surrounded the western end of the lake.A resolution was passed by the Austin City Council on July 26, 2007, in which reservoir was renamed from Town Lake to Lady Bird Lake in honor of Lady Bird Johnson. For the city of Austin, Lady Bird Lake is a major amusement area whose banks are bounded by Bike Trail  and the Lady Bird Lake Hike ,and along the lakefront portion of the trails, businesses offer recreational watercraft services.

Zilker Park & Gardens - Austin,TX,US


In the heart of south Austin, near Barton Springs Pool and Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Metropolitan Park is a entertaining area that comprises over 350 acres (142 ha) of publicly owned land. The park was named after Andrew Jackson Zilker, the patron of Zilker Park, in 1917. In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, it was developed into the park which serves as a hub for many frivolous activities and the hike and bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, both of which run next to the park. On 1997, the park was scheduled in the National Register of Historic Places. There are many entertaining things within the park like Zilker Hillside Theater, concession stands, Zilker Botanical Garden, The Zilker Zephyr miniature train, and picnic areas that can attract people for enjoyment.

University of Texas - Austin,TX,US   


A public research university situated in Austin, Texas, United States, known to be The University of Texas is basically the flagship institute of The University of Texas System.  From the Texas State Capitol, the main campus of the university is located around 400 m away.The university which was founded in 1883, has the fifth-largest single-campus enrollment with 16,500 faculty and staff and over 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students. In the state of Texas, this university currently holds the largest enrollment of all colleges. The University of Texas was called as one of the original eight Public Ivy institutions at Austin, and in 1929 was included into the American Association of Universities.There are two academic units, sixteen schools & colleges in the university and more than 170 graduate and 100 undergraduate degrees are offered by this University.

Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium - Austin,TX,US

Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium was establishd in Austin, Texas and for years it has been home to the University of Texas Longhorn Football team. The stadium has delivered a great home field advantage to the team with a very good track record in this stadium. The Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is the largest football stadium by seating capacity in the Texas and it is the 8th largest in the world. The stadium has been expanded many a times since its original opening. The recently reconstructions to the stadium has made it one of the best footbal venue in the country. Although, the RTMS is not the biggest but with all the facilities, beauty, services etc, the stadium is very impressive. It is a great place to watch football.

Sydney Aquarium - Sydney,AU  

Sydney Aquarium is a public aquarium which is located in the city of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the largest and most spectacular  aquariums in the world. The aquarium is basically dedicated to present the wonderful and unique aquatic life. It contains a large diversity of Australian aquatic life, presenting well above 600 species which compromises  more than 6,000 individual fish and many  other sea and water creatures. It’s main display is the series of underwater, see through glass tunnels where sharks swim above the visitors which indeed is a delight to watch. The Sydney Aquarium was opened in 1988 and  it is regarded as one of Sydney's premier tourist attractions.Over 55% of its visitors each year come from overseas. It is a great place for the people to visit and enjoy the beauties of nature.

Downtown Business District - Sydney,AU  

The Sydney downtown business district is the main commercial center of Sydney,New South Wales, Australia. It expands southwards for about 3 kilometers from Sydney Cove which is the point of first European settlement. The DBD is home to many residents who love its vivacity, expediency and unique lifestyle. The main residential population is of city dwellers and renters ranging from executive class to students. The DBD is densely concentrated with skyscapers and other huge buildings with several parks such as Hyde Park,The Domain etc spreaded out. There are many cultural institutions in the DBD like Museum of Sydney, State library of New South Wales, Theatre Royal etc. Every new year, the city celebrated Sydney festival in which art, music and dances are the main attractions.

 

Sydney Opera House - Sydney,AU  



The Sydney Opera House is a multi-site performing arts centre in  Sydney,New South Wales, Australia. It was built by Danish architect Jorn Utzon, who received the Pritzker Prize which is the architecture's highest honour. The Sydney Opera House is indeed a masterpiece and one of the greatest iconic buildings of the 20th century. In 2007, it was also made a UNESCO World Heritage. The building addresses several performances venues and it is one of the busiest arts centres in the world. Each year, over million people come to the opera house to attend thousands of performances. The opera house facilitates Concert hall, opera theatre, drama theatre, play house, studio, forecourt etc to held different performances. It is one of the most popular visitors attractions in Australia with more than seven million people visiting the site.
