So as soon as Nigeria became independent, the functional inadequacies of education in the nation’s schools became glaring as well. As a Republic, Nigerian government became a complex and a complicated one. Therefore, the need to fashion out an educational system that would fit the new mood and the development needs of the nation became obvious and pressing. For instance, the government needed a good number of qualified individuals in almost every sector.
