Inductees were selected for their accomplishments at Northern Lebanon or its founding school and have also demonstrated good character and we are proud to have them become the class of 2011.

Kenneth C. Grimes – Ken played varsity soccer and was a 4 year letter during his senior year he was part of team that won the season and district championship. 18 Career Goals and elected all county in senior year. Ken was also a 4 year letter winner in baseball as catcher – all county senior year. Played 15 years as catcher in twilight league winning 10 league championships and 12 all-star appearances. Also played for Myerstown legion -3 years, Newmanstown – 5years, Lebanon Valley – 1 year. Coached Jonestown little league for 19 years winning 12 championships.


Adam Frain – Adam played baseball and football at NL. He was on a gold medal team for the keystone state games, was NL batting, RBI, and MVP trophy winner. He was a Patriot News Big 11 – 2nd team outfielder, L-L and Lebanon County all-star outfielder. In football, he was a L-L and Lebanon county all-star running back. He graduated with honors from John Hopkins with an engineering degree. He played baseball there where he was an outfielder for a team that won the Centennial Conference Championship in 97 and 98. He was a District II Academic all-star, Centennial Conference Honorable Mention leading his team with .390 average, 1st in triples, 2nd in RBI and homeruns.


James Collins – Jim was the 2001 PIAA State Wrestling Champ @ 112 lbs weight class. He was a four time Lebanon County All-Star, Four time Lancaster-Lebanon league Academic All-star, a Lancaster-Lebanon Section II All-Star, and was the Lancaster-Lebanon wrestler of the year. Jim was a two time District III Section II champion, Three time L-L League champion, Three time Lebanon County Champion. He is tops on the NL chart amassing 83 career falls in his 131 career wins. He was a three year starter at Lock Have (D-1). PSAC Champion 2004 @ 125 weight class. Jim is currently an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Central Dauphin HS.


Katy Tran – Katy during her field hockey career at NL was an All-American First team all-star and Academic All-American goalie in field hockey. She was named to all-state and all-county teams and honored as a league all-star. In 2001, Katy appeared in four games as a true freshman goalie for North Carolina Tar-Heels, becoming the full-time starter in 2003 playing every minute of the season in goal. As a junior she started all 23 games and was voted All-Atlantic Coast Conference and All-ACC tournament all-star and named to All-South regional first team. In 2005, Katy was named to the NFHCA All-America first team. For her career at North Carolina she played 70 games and posted 20 shutouts and carried a goals against average of 1.06 and UNC captured a 2004 ACC Championship and made four NCAA tournament appearances. Katy is currently a PhD student in Sports Psychology at Florida State University.
Amy Tran Swensen – As the goalie for the Lady Viking field hockey team, Amy earned Lancaster-Lebanon All-star team honors from 1995 to 97, All-State and academic squad member as a senior. PA regional All-American. Four year softball and two year basketball player. In 1999 Amy became the starting goal keeper for North Carolina Tar-Heels, in 2000 Named to the NFHCA All-America first team and All-ACC team. She helped North Carolina to a runner-up finish in NCAA national championship Tournament and was selected to U.S under-20 team. In 2003, Amy was called up to US National Team and made several World Cup Goalkeeper of the Tournament honors and in 2006 helped the USA to a 6th place world cup finish. Amy was a member of 2008 U.S. Olympic Team with an 8th place finish among many other honors along the way. She is currently playing for team USA in preparation for the 2012 Olympics to be held in London.
