Coordinated program review report of findings

Any person, including non‑educational personnel, who provides related services described under federal special education law, who supervises paraprofessionals in the provision of related services, or who provides support services directly to the regular or special classroom teacher is appropriately certified, licensed, board‑registered or otherwise approved to provide such services by the relevant professional standards board or agency for the profession.

Providers of interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing must be registered with the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

   Persons employed as paraprofessionals and assistants do not design instruction for students with disabilities but are expected to implement instruction under the supervision of an appropriately certified or licensed professional who is proximate and readily available to provide such supervision.
