Some “Full Experience” Places to Stay in Bayeux

A word to the wise… Bayeux is tiny, and a popular home base for travelers who are visiting the D-Day beaches. All the little hotels book up very early. By October, many options are already sold out for the following May. So book your rooms as soon as you know your travel dates. If you use booking.com and select a room that offers “Free cancellation,” you will be able to make changes and cancellations later if need be.

Again, to find a full-experience hotel with local charm, enter your dates on booking.com and use “Map View” to zoom in on the area where you want to stay. In this case, plan to stay in the Old Town, close to either the Tapestry Museum or Notre Dame Cathedral, or along the quiet pedestrian street, rue Saint-Jean.
