Another commonly used filter is for Status “in_alarm.” Note that this is different than the Alarm servlet routine, which checks for instances of unacknowledged alarms. An object in alarm may have remained in alarm even after being acknowledged. In this case, the object would not appear using the Alarm servlet, but would when using a Status query filtering on the status “in_alarm” (Figure 6-7
). This return only objects that are currently in alarm.
You might also wish to use the status query to find out current values or states within the system. For example, to seethe current states of binary output objects (BOs), you could filter on Type entering only BO. If you also enter “*(16)” in the Summary filter, you will see only BO objects under schedule-level control (Figure 6-8
).
