CHADWYCK-HEALEY Lorna Doone CTPX14013-16/18-25

Made for Western Song Production Ltd. The LSO’s twelve sides were

interspersed with fifteen more (CTPX14026-29/40-50) recorded on

22&24 May 46. The set was completed with another side (CTPX14057)

recorded on 14 Jun 46, on which H.P.Chadwyck-Healey provided a

spoken introduction. The matrix cards do not identify any of the artists,

other than the orchestra, but it seems quite likely that Chadwyck-Healey

conducted his own three-act opera, based on R.D.Blackmore’s novel.
