Following the plan of Unicef Nepal team to visit Avakhal village, the BCC team dedicated good amount of time in field trips to Avakhal village in preparing for the Unicef visit. On 19th August’2014, Unicef team arrived in Avakhal village; naming, Ms. Nathalie Foe, Ms. Dora, Ms. Miku, Ms. Zeru master, Ms. Chetna desai and Mr. Rajshekhar.

The Unicef Team and Guests from Nepal were welcomed with garlands by the girls of the AGG groups from village. Later, the Team visited the Anganwadies and interacted with the Anganwadi workers and supervisor. After visiting the Anganwadies, the Unicef guests and Team approached towards the Primary school of the village, where again the AGG members performed a welcome song followed by the skit on anti-child labor. Later, the Unicef guests and team were taken to a room where began the discussion with CPC members. The Guests interacted with the CPC members on range of aspects covered under the project phase 1 and phase 2 between years of 2010 and 2013. Almost after an hour, the Unicef Guests and Team had 2 hour discussion with AGG members of AGG of Avakhal village. The group consists of AGG members who crossed the age of 18 and no more are active with the group.

There were also girls who are still under the age of 18 who are there in the group. There a few new girls who recently joined to the AGG group of the village. The guests had intense discussion with AGG members on the processes went on during the formation of the group and later how the group made any difference to their own life and in lives of the children of the village.

On 20th August, 10 AGG girls from three villages of SHinor block were taken to Dhanpuri where other 25 AGG members were called from Kawat and Sankheda blocks of Vadodara district. The Unicef guest from Nepal and other UNicef team members had couple of hours discussion with these AGG members. From BCC Progr. Coordinator and CRP accompanied AGG members to Dhanpuri in Sankheda block.
