General objectives The student will
1. acquire skills and techniques in freehand sketching.
2. recognize specifications for building drawings
3. understand the principles of intersections.
4. be aware of appropriate techniques in architectural drawings.
5. recognize electrical and plumbing symbols.
6. Understand the construction of arches.

The student will be able to
3.1.1 outline the principles and techniques of freehand sketching.
3.1.2 sketch various building tools and components.
3.2.1 explain the purpose of British Standard 1192.
