3.4 Monetary Policy

We assume that monetary policy is partly rules based and partly discretionary. The Central Bank sets interest rates according to a Taylor rule and responds to annual consumer price inflation and the annual growth rate of output

3.5 Fiscal Policy

Apart from standard fiscal measures, the government engages in recapitalisation of the banking sector, the purchase of toxic loans and provides guarantees. These measures are reflected in the government budget constraint
