Army Substance Abuse Program Professional Code of Ethics F – 1. Preamble The ASAP Professional Code of Ethics serves as a code of conduct for ASAP professionals in their behavior at work and in the community. In cooperation with military and civilian leadership, ASAP professionals primary objective is to provide the most effective drug and alcohol services to Soldiers, civilians, and their Families suffering from emotional, behavioral, alcohol and drug-related problems. The following principles are in accord with this goal to educate ASAP professionals regarding ethical professional conduct. ASAP professionals affirm their endorsement of the Code of Ethics and commitment to uphold these principles while they perform their professional duties.
