SC29/WG11noteswithsatisfactionitscurrentcollaborationwithSC24/WG9onMixedandAugmentedReality(MAR)inthecontextoftheJointAdhocGroup(JAhG)establishedbyJTC1inOctober2012.Thefirsttwomeetings,heldinIncheon,KR,andLosAngeles,US(inAprilandJuly2013,respectively),haveallowedconvergenceandthusprogressinthedevelopmentofacommonMARReferenceModel(RM).SC29/WG11looksforwardtohavingthisMARRMpublishedinatimelymannerforthebenefitoftheindustry.Thismodusoperandihasalreadyprovedtobeeffective(twoversionsoftheWorkingDraftofMARRMhavebeenproducedinthelastthreemonths),andguaranteesaproperhandlingofNationalBody(NB)commentsthroughtheproceduresthatarealreadyinplaceinbothSC29/WG11andSC24/WG9.ThereforeSC29/WG11recommendsthattheJAhGbere-establishedforoneterm(oneyear).
