What cavities are associated with human development?
The major cavities formed during embryonic development include:
The Follicular anthrum
The Blastocoel cavity
The Lacuna networks
The Amniotic cavity
The Chorionic cavity
The intraembryonic coelom

The Follicular antrum
This is the fluid filled cavity formed within the proliferating follicular cells. Its formation begins with the appearance of spaces within the granulosa cells (proliferating follicular cells) which later coalesces into a single cavity called Follicular Antrum.

The Blastocoel Cavity
This refers to the cavity formed during blastogenesis, within the proliferating blastomeres, following cleavage of the zygote. Its formation begins with the appearance of spaces within the blastomeres which later coalesces into a single cavity called the Blastocoel Antrum.
Further development leads to migration of cells from the Hypoblast that lines the blastocoel cavity. These lining cells forms the Heusers Membrane otherwise known as the Exoceolomic membrane. At this point, the blastocoel cavity is refered to as the exoceolmic cavity.
With further development, the exoceolmic cavity become the primitive yolk sac, much of which is incorporated into the developing embryo during the embryonic event called Embryonic Folding.
