How to reach Bergamo, Città AltaBergamo is in the centre of Lombardy, more or less 50 km. from Milan. You can reach the town by motorway (A4) or train. Orio al Serio international airport is only 5 km. far from the centre of the town and it is well connected by a frequent shuttle bus service. From the railway station in Bergamo leaves every ten minutes a bus to the funicular station (line n. 1) and to the Città Alta (upper town).
