Kasapa Telecom Limited, the Analogue (AMPS) mobile cellular telephone operator in Ghana will be converting to CDMA from 15 August 2005.

Consequently, a seven-digit number series following the country mobile access codes has been introduced in place of the existing six-digit number as follows:

Domestic dialling format: 028 XXX XXXX

The existing six-digit number will run concurrently with the seven-digit number from 15 August 2005 until 30 January 2006, when the six-digit number may be discontinued.

Lebanon (country code +961)

The Ministère des télécommunications, Beyrouth, announces that the Lebanese GSM numbering code (3) shall be replaced by the new code (71). The migration date is scheduled on 18 September 2005.
