JMK SHOWS ADDS NEW SHOW DATES FOR ADDITIONAL

ATLANTIC CITY ANTIQUES SHOW
Just over 3 years ago Allison Kohler of JMK SHOWS successfully revived a long running show that had fallen upon hard times. She promised that she would improve the show’s quality, restore it’s once excellent image, dramatically change it’s advertising, and breathe a new life and vitality into its remains. She has done that and much, much more. The Atlantic City Antiques Show has once again become an important, well attended, highly successful collector’s event in one of the most exciting destination cities in the nation. From it’s initial reincarnation 3 years ago to it’s most recent presentation this past March, the show has grown significantly in all it’s important aspects – more exhibitors, better quality and diversity among the exhibitors, an expanding audience that has grown exponentially each year, and an energetic, responsive management team that has fulfilled all of it’s initial promises - and more. (They have even found a way to reduce exhibitor’s costs, so that they could show a profit in an economy where that is not always possible).

With attendance surging so significantly from the minute the doors opened at the recent March show, and exhibitor sales showing so much vitality, JMK SHOWS management staff found itself being deluged with requests for an additional show during the Fall buying season. Requests came from optimistic exhibitors, as well as their customers. They felt the market was on it’s way back and that Atlantic City could easily sustain a second show.

Officials from the Convention Center and from the A/C Convention & Visitors Bureau reacted to the increased attendance. Their reaction to this observation was most favorable & they wasted no time in securing viable dates for a show on Oct. 13 & 14, 2012. By late Sunday morning Contracts for the Fall Atlantic City Antiques Show were being distributed to the exhibitors. Within an hour exhibitors started bringing their completed Contracts back into the show office in order to secure their 1st choice booths. Like an avalanche, word quickly spread throughout the exhibit hall about the Fall dates, and a great energy seemed to envelope everyone in the hall, with sales continuing unabated till the show ended at 5pm.

Allison Kohler, managing director of JMK Shows is a determined, hard working, tireless young lady who takes great pride in all of her endeavors. Her energy and enthusiasm know no limits. She is determined to make the Atlantic City Antiques Show a resounding success, and those who know her are convinced that she will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Plans are already in progress for a huge marketing & advertising campaign designed to lure a greater variety of specialized collectibles dealers and their collector customers into the show. Dealers that specialize in such items as toys, dolls, teddy bears, vintage fashions, textiles, advertising, antiquarian books, ephemera, lighting, photography, posters, prints, paintings & sculpture, vintage phonographs & radios, art deco & nouveau, modernism, post cards, sports cards, comic art & action figures, all kinds of jewelry, art pottery, Oriental rugs, all types of furniture, Orientalia, cut glass, ceramics, decorative arts, & much more. The emphasis will be on quality items and attractive displays with an across-the-board variety of merchandise to satisfy every collector’s tastes. It will be a show in which a person could conceivably find virtually any rarity, from a tiny delicate button to a mammoth 3 dimensional advertising robot.

The October show will also contain the popular Expert Appraisal Center and Restoration Clinics. The aisles will be wide enough to enable wheel chair access and comfortable walking accessibility to all of the exhibitors’ booths.. The conveniently located Food Court will offer a variety of popular food items from snacks to full meals, including an assortment of beverages.

To demonstrate their support & overwhelming satisfaction with the show’s management and growth over the last 3 years, under JMK SHOWS, the Convention & Visitors Bureau has used their considerable influence to secure special discounted room rates and other “perks” for the show’s exhibitors and visitors. They have arranged for the distribution of complimentary VIP tickets to many influential persons & affluent “high rollers” frequenting the casinos & better hotel properties, have allocated special promotional funds and have reserved key billboard locations in and around Atlantic City to supplement the show’s already extensive promotional efforts.
