Born on August 14, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Bradenton in 1963 from Severna Park, Maryland. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Personal:Had a blind date with Linda Elliott (MHS '71)in Bradenton on 10/4/76 at 9:30 PM. Had drinks for an hour at the Pewter Mug at Cortez and US 41. By the end of the date,it was all over for both of us. We've been together ever since. Oldest of 3 sons is a biomedical engineer consultant, married with a daughter who was born in 2013. Middle son and youngest son are intermittently at our home in Honolulu, working and/or in school.
My Education:Went to college at The Citadel, then 2 years active Army duty as a lieutenant after college,then two graduate level degrees in Trusts, Law, and Investments, and an MBA from Pepperdine. Private pilot's license in 1973.
My Career:I never was a military guy, but I did stay in the Army Reserves, with interesting assignments in Japan and Korea,retiring as an LTC. Currently I'm the Managing Trustee of Hawaii's oldest private land owning estate.
How I spend my free time:I enjoy making guitar sounds, singing, exercise, and date night with Linda. Can't stop writing poetry and working on a cheezy romantic novel. Have become proficient in giving Hawaiian Lomilomi massage, available for Linda only.
Other comments:As an Army brat, I had lived in 5 US states and 2 foreign countries by the time I was 13. I was burned out with hellos and goodbyes when I came to Bradenton at the beginning of our junior year. I ended up knowing very few people at MHS and wish I had been more aggressive in meeting people for the 2 years I was there. (Updated 11/8/2017)

Personal:Chris and I met in Mrs. Parrish's English class. I remember him sitting one row over and two seats up from me! We started dating the end of our Senior year. And, that date has lasted a long time....Presently, after 14 homes throughout a 24 year career in the Air Force, we live in Virginia; and, never want to move again! Our daughter, Tina, is married to a newly retired Naval Officer. He is now employed as an electrical engineer for a NASA contractor. They have 3 terrific children (Amanda, 17 yrs. old loves horseback riding and singing in her high school's select women's chorus; Joey is 14 yrs. old and is on a travel baseball team as well as his high school's baseball team. He also plays in his high school's marching band; and Peter who is 13 yrs. old is an excellent gymnast. He can hardly wait to join his brother...next year, in their high school marching band! ). They have lived from Virginia to California. Thankfully, their last duty station was here, and this is where they have retired. It's awesome to watch a new generation of your family grow up. Our son, Lance, is employed by Ferguson Enterprises. He is in the management/sales division. His job is based in the Vero Beach area of Florida! He loves Florida, and will be there as long as Ferguson will let him. He is married, lives in Jupiter, Florida, has one son who is 2 1/2 and another son due in March. Chris and I visit Bradenton and Anna Maria every summer, and then we travel to the other coast to see Lance.
My Education:After graduating from Manatee High, I graduated from MJC, then U of FL with a degree in Elem. Ed. Eventually I received my Master's degree from Old Dominion University. My best and most worthwhile degree, however, was being a mom.
My Career:As an Air Force wife, I was able to teach in many states & countires! The states/countries were Miss.,Okla.(where our daughter was born,) Athens, Greece, Missouri...Kansas City (where our son was born), St. Louis, Missouri, Florida (Orlando and Ft. Walton Beach), Mannheim, Germany, and for the past 14 years, Seaford, VA. While at Seaford, I coached Odyssey of the Mind teams for 9 years. Four of my teams were able to compete at World Competition. I was also the principal of a private Baptist School for 3 years. I loved every minute ofteaching and being a principal. It still excites me to be part of children's education. Some day I know I will grow out of it...or maybe, just grow up! Update: I retired totally in 2007. I decided it was time for me to dedicate time to myself. My first and foremost initiative was to get in shape! Therefore, I joined a gym and spend 3 - 4 times a week trying to look like I did 40 years ago (ha ha)!
How I spend my free time:Hobbies...bicycling, boating, swimming, fishing in the Chesapeake as well as the Virginia Mountain waters. Our favorite place to go is a beautiful lodge in Millboro Springs, VA on the Cowpasture River. Don't laugh. That is what it is called. It's peaceful and fun. What more could a person ask for?
Other comments:I can hardly wait for our reunion. Looking at the pictures that are on the web site bring back great thoughts and memories. Some of us have known one another for many years. How I spend my free time:Collect houses(5) remodel old houses and then sell them (or keep them). Antiquing I collect old glass and silver and have a booth in Carriage house Antiques on Manatee Ave. We also swim, BBBQ and I read a lot. President of National Assoc of Women in Construction -local chapter. Past board member of Hope Family Services (shelter for victims of domestic violence)

Other comments:Rev. Curtis Tutterrow, 64, of Green River passed away on March 7, 2012, at his home following a battle with cancer. He was the minister of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Green River for the past three years and a former resident of Lenoir, N.C. Rev. Tutterrow was born in Crossville, Tenn., the son of the late Harvey Andrew Tutterrow and Hazel Bellamy Tutterrow. He was a 1965 graduate of Bradenton High School in Bradenton, Fla. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stetson University and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He married Elaine Koon Tutterrow of Jacksonville, Fla., in 1967. His interests included reading, traveling, scuba diving, hiking, and he enjoyed music.. He is survived by his wife, Elaine K. Tutterrow of Green River; one daughter, Catherine Tutterrow Flanders and husband Douglas Flanders of Littleton, Colo.; one son, Michael Alan Tutterrow and wife Young Lo Tutterrow of Seattle; one brother, Lyle Edward Tutterrow of Cape Coral, Fla.; two grandchildren, Emily Grace Flanders and Callen Douglas Flanders of Littleton, Colo.; three aunts, several cousins, one nephew and three nieces.
