Kranium joins Tory Lanez on I Told You Tour

August 16, 2016 – Dancehall artist KRANIUM will join Tory Lanez on 49 dates of his I Told You tour. With Tory Lanez’s dancehall-inspired “Luv” currently blazing up dance floors worldwide, Kranium’s inclusion is set to offer the Swavey King's fans a largely unseen AUTHENTIC Jamaican dancehall experience.

The Jamaican-born, Queens, New York-raised dancehall artist quickly established himself one of dancehall’s hottest prospects with his breakout hit “Nobody Has To Know”. After its 2014 peak at #2, the record still sits amongst the Top 50 Reggae songs - 83 straight weeks later! No other reggae record has sold or been streamed as consistently since.

A slew of hits followed (including “Lifestyle” and “History”), and when major record labels came knocking, the 25-year old chose Atlantic Records; becoming the only reggae/dancehall signee on their historic roster. Kranium’s project Rumors dropped shortly after with LMR Pro (“Nobody Has To Know”) and Brooklyn’s own, Ricky Blaze (Gyptian - “Hold You”) handling production duties. The project, which spawned "Stamina" and "Can't Get A...” showcases his natural ability to charm the ladies while still being certified by the guys in a way contemporary dancehall fans appreciate.

To date he has performed in front of packed audiences across the world including the US, UK and Europe, and Africa. 2016 has seen him turn up the vibes at OVO Fest and win the coveted Red Bull Culture Clash trophy in front of 20,000 voting fans as a member of Mixpak Crew (alongside Popcaan, Tony Matterhorn and Spice).

Many dancehall insiders tip Kranium as the one to bring authentic dancehall back to the masses. Like friend and collaborator Shaggy before him, living in both Jamaica and New York has afforded him the ability to bridge the gap between the dancehall and Mainstream Urban cultures. In an era when many are looking to Jamaican music for inspiration, few artists truly embody the authenticity most desire from dancehall with hints of classic 90s r&b.
