LAND DEVELOPMENT FIRM ENTERS TAMPA MARKET

TAMPA - Rochester & Associates, Inc., is opening an office in the metro Tampa community of Wesley Chapel on August 1, 2005. The Atlanta-based land development consulting firm provides land surveying, civil engineering and project management services to land developers for master-planned communities.

“We are excited about entering the Tampa market because it fits our expertise, being the best at survey-intense projects,” said Darrell K. Rochester, president of the company.
Listed in the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the top 25 civil engineering firms in Georgia, Rochester is also known for its 30-field crews covering Georgia.
Founded in Gainesville, GA in 1966, the Tampa office will be its fourth. The company, comprised of 180 team members, has sustained its reputation on the concept of building relationships and repeat business. Specializing in mixed-use, master-planned communities, it engineered and planned high-profile projects including Road Atlanta, the Atlanta Falcons training complex and corporate headquarters, Lake Lanier Islands Resort, Tournament Players Club at Sugarloaf, the Golf Club of Georgia, and several projects for Temple Inland.
In 2002, the firm was awarded a $1.1 million contract by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to create a master plan and first phase designs for the new 750-acre Atlanta Area National Cemetery.
“I am excited to see Rochester expanding to Florida. We have a long track record with them, and I am pleased with their premier level of client services and capability,” said Bill Mallery, PE, Vice-President of Construction and Development at LandMar Group, LLC.
